My baby is 9.5 months old and she likes most things but isn’t that interested in solids most of the time. Even when she eats really well (relatively) she’d be so uninterested in the food in the beginning until I trick her into tasting it and she’s like “oh.. that’s not too bad” and eats a bunch more. I don’t know how to describe it but it’s like she’s still not used to solids being a source of nutrition like she expects to have milk when she’s hungry.
I’m not sure if I give her too much milk? I try to give her solids before milk (and make sure it’s been at least 2 hours since the last bottle) but sometimes I still think she’s either not hungry enough or too hungry and frustrated. Or should I give her a bite of something I know she’s always interested in first to entice her? (Pretty much always yogurt or smooth fruit purées )
I just keep seeing posts online about weaning and it seems like we should be beyond this stage now?? Did I not offer food often enough in the past so she didn’t learn as fast??

My little one is the same about solids. More interested in the puree and milk than solids. Next month will be 1 year old but a preemie so adjusted age is 9 months rn.
