I normally have to wait at least 10 mins and even then its hit and miss for if he actually stays asleep or not.

Used to be 10 mins but now in regression and can’t put her down at all. She wakes up like yours x

At one point my daughter was doing that for a bit, but I wait until she’s in a deep sleep, heavily breathing and those little twitches they do are the signs x

I was having to hold my baby for what felt like hours to be able to transfer him but I’ve not learnt to put him down drowsy and not fully asleep. I hold him in my arms until he’s very sleepy and eyes closing then I transfer him and rub his back until he falls asleep. If he protests for more than a minute I pick him up and start again but it works a lot quicker than transferring him when fully sleep

I used to really struggle doing this once she got older. I spoke to health visitors about it and they suggested putting her down awake instead and honestly it worked so much better so quickly. I lay her on her back, she rolls over and goes to sleep within minutes normally. I just pat her back. I was going insane doing all the rocking each time and then her waking up as soon as I even moved towards her cot.
Maybe worth a try?!
