Baby Blues

Really struggling with baby blues and how fast they came on, I’m usually very in check with my emotions but this is wild ! Anyone else have shared experiences with these ? I’m very lucky and my husband is the backbone to everything and is extremely supportive and has taken everything on so we can recover and he is amazing. But these hormones dips are crazy even with the support ! Curious on others experiences and to make sure it’s not just me feeling the feels !

I cried a lot with my first and my second went on for over a month probably due to a traumatic birth. It does get better. One day you’ll wake up and everything will seem so much less intense and emotional you probably won’t even notice it stopped. Just keep an eye on symptoms for ppd. can happen even with lots of support x

Rideeeee the wave! I found I was so up and down, one minute hysterically crying and low the next cloud 9, I just tried to take every hour and every day as it came and kept reminding myself the emotions pass like waves and to keep paddling. That being said, if you feel like the waves are pulling you down, and you’re not coming back up for air, definitely seek help from your GP as PPD can creep up on even tho most well supported mothers xx

Was the nursery carer wrong for saying this?

My baby is starting nursery (she’s 13 months). Today was her first settling in hour. My baby has CMPA and we are working on introducing dairy to her with a dietician. For now she can’t have cows milk. She’s still breastfed. They said she can have oatmilk with breakfast and I’m happy with this as we do this at home too. However they also offer them milk to drink and I said I’m happy to provide breastmilk. The manager emailed me about it earlier and said it’s fine as long as it’s clearly labeled. The nursery worker seemed not keen and said she can drink oat milk and she can have breastmilk at home. Is it just me or was that comment wrong?

Early walking and head bumps

My son is 9.5 months has been crawling for the last few days and is also loving pulling up on furniture and he keeps falling into furniture he’s pulled up on. Or he falls back and bumps his head that way. It’s been 4 days and he’s had a head bump a day already and I’m with him each time just don’t catch him in time or he goes another direction. Is this just something that I just accept and try to reduce the risk as much as possible or are there other options?

Infant in front seat?

Looking for advice, I have to drive 2 hours with just me and my infant and I’m worried if he gets unsettled in back of car that I won’t be able to tend to him but also anxious of putting him in front seat. Has anyone ever travelled with infant in front seat and has any advice on the subject? TIA ❤️

Haven holiday travel cot

Has anyone use one of the travel cots provided on a Haven holiday? We go away next week and they say the mattress isn't provided with the cot. Wondering if I need to buy a mattress or if they're comfortable enough that if they've got the base board thing that I could bring a couple blankets and a fitted sheet to pop over the top?
