Opinions please! First night in hospital…

This is going to sound so silly, but who put their baby in the little cot the first night and who didn’t?

I held my first baby all night long. I came home and he was a terrible sleeper and took ages to settle and sleep independently.

My friends say I should be putting the baby into the little cot and this will help with my previous sleep issues.

Has anyone experienced the same?

My opinion would be it makes zero difference. They have literally just been born. Mine was in the cot for like, 40 minute bursts and then would need a cuddle / change / feed.

Agree with above. My son did go in to his cot after all checks and everything sorted for the night (I gave birth at 2.50am) so I could get some sleep after traumatic birth and my midwives stayed in the room with me and my partner just catching up paperwork and stuff to let me sleep and keep an eye on baby but that was the only time he slept in the cot over 3 days and 2 nights in hospital and for the weeks following. He has always been an awful sleeper and needed contact naps for months

Yeah don’t listen to your friends. Your baby doesn’t even know it’s been born in the hospital. My boy slept in the cot in the hospital at night because I had a reaction to some meds, but god forbid if I try and put him down in his crib at home!
You’re not creating any issues by holding your baby and actually the skin to skin is so important if you can do it.
Do whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Baby rice

Hiya ladies
My little boy Benjamin is 9weeks old and already in 3-6 months clothes, he’s having 7oz of hungry baby milk every two hours however he does sleep 9pm to 6-6.30am (9 hours) every night
How early did you start giving your baby rice in the morning, I feel Benjamin needs just needs that little extra

Morning wake up time

My 10 month old used to wake up at 6:30am or 10 minutes before but last couple weeks it’s been 6am. His bedtime is 7pm now used to be 6:30pm. Is anyone else in the same boat? And when will he start sleeping past 6am? He has 2 naps 1 hour each, sometimes less.
Total sleep is 10-11 hours in 24 hours?

I’m really struggling in the mornings. Is anyone else in the same boat as us? Is this normal? What do I need to tweak to get him to sleep past 6am? 🥲😭

Pumping

Hi! If I’m pumping in place of feeding will my supply go down, so at night my one month old settles so much better having a bottle then going back to sleep rather than breast feeding for a hour plus and crying on the boob etc
So last night I pumped for 20 mins instead of breast feeding and gave her a bottle and it was better and a more settled night but I still feel like I want to breast feed even if it means tiredness and tears, then the second feed my hubby can give a bottle then I’ll pump

What do you guys think? She’s coming up 5 weeks and past few weeks have been stressful with latching as fussiness and I’ve cried a lot but I still want to breast feed Which I will do In the day but at night Is it ok for me to miss one and pump instead ?

How to stop so many night wakes?

Anyone managed to successfully do this?

Baby wakes every 2 hours after midnight. She doesn't always seem to want a feed (as falls asleep right before the bottle/after 10ml or as soon as she cuddles the boob.)

How do I know when to not offer milk?

Has anyone successfully stopped so many wakings? 😴

Is it bad???

That I’m one and done? I feel so guilty to not give my daughter another sibling but she is a hard baby and newborn stage was so awful for me and struggled really bad with PPD.

Also not support from family members either so it just me and husband

Thoughts?
