Hello, 37 weeks here and starting to overthink everything I've prepared (or not) for the baby. We haven't got a nursing pillow yet, but I now wonder if it is something that we should consider buying? I'm planning to breastfeed and this is our first baby, so all still very abstract to us.
Do you have one? How are you finding it?

My Breast Friend has been really helpful for me and I use it constantly. It is something I wish I had from the beginning. If you have facebook - there are always people selling them barely used for much cheaper on the marketplace. So much baby stuff is on there that is essentially new so I would recommend checking on there if that’s an option and don’t want to spend a lot in case something doesn’t work for you.

My elbow hurt so bad when I first started breastfeeding without a pillow. you NEED something, in my opinion. I didn't buy a nursing pillow, though. I just used my pregnancy pillow. If you're gonna travel around the house and feed, I'd buy one. I typically nurse in my bed.

Would you recommend one that ties around your back?

I’d honestly wait and see how you get on. I got an expensive one and didn’t end up using it - what works depends on what position you end up finding most comfortable, the size of your boobs, etc. What’s a must-have for someone ends up being a waste of money for someone else. In a pinch you can use a pillow and get next-day delivery of a more substantial one if you find you need it!

My little one is 6 months and I still use it all the time! We just got a mamas and papas one. I use it for feeding her but we also use it to prop her up when she’s playing too. I actually want a second one for when we have a second baby so I’ve got one upstairs and one downstairs.
