Milestones

My baby was born 2nd of November so almost 6 months !
Just wondering what to expect next :
Does your baby say dada or mama yet? Or anything else?
Does your baby sit independently for long periods of time?
Can your baby roll both ways ?
Anything else ?

So those things are more 6-8 months for sitting. Rolling can happen at any time.
No saying mumma dadda yet but soon.

But every baby is so different. I find that some are more verbal, some are more physical, but they can only learn one new skill at a time. So can forget stuff they've learned and then relearn it too!

Yes exactly what said. My little one started saying dada a week before he turned 6 months then started rolling after that both ways. Before he could only roll front to back from 3-4 months but had stopped that and blowing raspberries and screaming when he learnt to sit up which he did from 4.5-5 months. Now he's stopped saying dada (not saying mama yet ) and he's shuffling on his knees - his version of early crawling but he is not very bouncy on his legs and he likes food but doesn't eat more than 2-3 small spoonfuls if that.

These babies will do what they want when they want. There are things you can do to support different areas of their development though. Like when I saw he was trying to sit we:d play for short periods of him sitting in my lap or with cushions multiple times a day to help strengthen his sitting posture. He turns 7 months next week Thursday for context.

Private parts

Soo, my five year old foster kiddo has been with us for about three months now and he is constantly grabbing his penis to the point he makes it hard. I haven't had to deal with this ever, so I'm not quite sure how to handle it. I've tried telling him he can only touch it when he's alone, going to the bathroom, or washing it, but he hasn't stopped. I don't want to shame him over something that's natural, but I also don't want him grabbing himself in front of people. Help!

Which laundry detergent are you using?

Hi all, what laundry detergent are you using? I know fairy tends to be the go to for most, but I really don't like the smell of it.

Any suggestions on others?

Where are we changing our babies?

Hey y’all! My baby is 5 months. I used to change her on her dresser changing pad, now she’s a tornado and I had to bring out the halo bassinet to change her in for safety reasons. Eventually she will grow out of it, now I’m thinking… where are you guys change your baby? Cause the crib at some point will be lowered, bassinet too small, floor is very low, and a dresser seems to be unsafe(at least for now)

Drying milk supply

I’ve decided after 18 weeks of exclusively pumping that I am done. Switching to formula but obviously I know I can’t just stop pumping.

I’ve cut down to 3 pumps a day (plus an 8 min pump in the middle of the night because uncomfortable) and i’m producing the same, if not more than I was on 4/5 pumps a day. Currently producing around 900ml on 3/4 pumps.

How long will it take for my supply to stop? I just want it over with😢
