Do you wipe your baby each time when changing nappies if there is only pee?

It's bc the wipes are cold and my baby cries when I use them at night time :(

Personally I would cause pee is acidic and can be an irritant and built up dry pee can be stinky . But at night I do sometimes do a lazy quick wipe .

I wipe every time but I try and warm them with my hands or breath before using them and it helps.

We had same problem with our baby who was born in January so ended up buying a wipes warmer as otherwise he would scream at every nappy change! Game changer!
Like others said, as uncomfortable as it is, pee irritates the skin so should really wipe the skin, especially since they don't get changed as often during night time.

Next to me crib

How do you get newborn to sleep in the next to me?

I have tried but end up giving up, going downstairs putting him in the carry cot and he is absolutely fine/drifts off!

Ive tried putting a top in the next to me so he can smell me but that doesn't seem to work.

Environment is the same; dark room etc.

He's 7 days old today, is it just perseverance and eventually he will just do it? Or are there any tips to encourage him to stay/sleep in the next 2 me?

Private parts

Soo, my five year old foster kiddo has been with us for about three months now and he is constantly grabbing his penis to the point he makes it hard. I haven't had to deal with this ever, so I'm not quite sure how to handle it. I've tried telling him he can only touch it when he's alone, going to the bathroom, or washing it, but he hasn't stopped. I don't want to shame him over something that's natural, but I also don't want him grabbing himself in front of people. Help!

2 stages in one!

3 months in and WOW… nobody warned me about this stage 😂😭

One minute she’s smiling, cooing, the sweetest little angel…
Next minute I’m being screamed at because I dared to change her nappy or put a sleeve on the wrong arm 🙃

Apparently this is a “developmental leap” AND the start of an early sleep regression…
I call it:
✨ tiny human with BIG emotions and zero patience (and no interest in sleep) ✨

We’ve got:
• 30 minute naps
• dramatic outfit changes
• only-mum-will-do moments
• random meltdowns for absolutely no reason (or all the reasons??)
• and a sleep schedule that changes its mind daily 😅

But also… the smiles, the cuddles, the way she settles on me like I’m her whole world 🥹

So yeah… it’s a lot right now.
Messy, exhausting, emotional… but still somehow the best thing ever.

Anyone else in the trenches with a 3 month old? Send help… or snacks 😅🤍

I can’t take it anymore

Just cannot take it anymore…been up for
2 hours, baby won’t stop crying unless we pick him up. Doesn’t nap independently either so it’s either holding him for an entire nap or contact napping but then he wakes up if you’re not standing.

I CANNOT do this anymore. I feel like I’ve got no choice but let him cry it out….put the monitor on, leave him in the cot and leave the flat so I can’t hear him cry.

My back, my wrist, my mental are all shattered and it’s affected my couple and relationships with family (who’s just judgmental as in this was due to bad parenting), any concerns raised with professional bodies (NHS) aren’t addressed (why is the NHS so crap?!). HV doesn’t respond to me when I ask for advice on feeding. Physio cancels on us and doesn’t reschedule….and doesn’t reply.

Not sure where to go nor what to do

Breast pumps

I need suggestions on wearable non expensive breast pumps, I’ve heard about the momcozy ones but they’re way out of my price range, I’m looking for one that is strong as the one I have now is just so weak and does nothing
