Hey mamas
We had my sons 12 month review today and they said he’s on the 91st centile for height and 9th for weight
He was 50th centile at birth then 25th when he lost weight due to being sick for a few months on and off with viruses and colds etc then now he’s on the 9th. She said he’s following his curve beautifully and he’s healthy and they’re super happy
However I’m just soo upset. I have tried sooo hard to get his weight up since I was told he’s on the 25th centile months and months ago. I wish he was on the 50th centile at least.
We do three meals a day, two snacks, breast feed on demand and a bottle cows milk when he takes it. He’s okay with his meals usually has at least 1 really good meal sometimes two then a little less for the other. And he’s happy to have his snacks.
He’s extremely active from when his eyes barely open till he goes down so I was told that could be why he’s not putting on much.
She said he’s on the 91st for his height and we definitely do not want his weight to be anywhere near that
Just want to know if anyone else babies just aren’t putting on much weight I find it soo frustrating like I’m letting him down I don’t know.

Hi! My little girl was born on the 25th percentile and then dropped to the 9th by 6 weeks old. She is now 1 and I am still breast feeding too and she eats really well, but she has stayed on the 9th percentile. My little boy who is now 6 was born on the 91st percentile and was still above average at his one year review. My little girl eats a lot more than he ever did but I have worried a lot more about her mainly due to her size. My health visitor told me not to worry about it as she’s just a smaller baby and as long as they’re following the curve that’s all that matters x
