Staff ratio at nursery

What is the legal requirement of staff to children ratio for a nursery with children aged 2-5 all in the same room?

Recently I was told where I was thinking of sending my son the ratio is 10:1 (children to staff)

I visited a room with 2-3 year olds and the ratio was 5:1 (staff to children)

How is it legal to then just add on another 5 because others are older you still have to care for the 2 year olds. Does the older children suddenly mean they can have 6 2 year olds and 4 4 year olds with 1 key worker?

Advise would be great thanks

All the nurseries I've worked at they would work how many 2 year olds they have and they would be on one ratio. And the older children would be another ratio. Regardless if they're in the same room. It should still be separate ratios for both ages. X

It’s something like 1:3 under twos, 1:5 for two year olds, and 1:8 for 3+ x

1:3 for under 2s (6 months to 2 year olds).

1:4 for toddlers (2-3 year olds).

1:8 for preschoolers (3-5 year olds).

1:13 if you are a qualified teacher.

And SEND children should be 1:1 if there’s enough staff or funding has been given for a 1:1 x

SAHM Allowance

For my SAHM, does your partner give you money weekly/ monthly? What’s your situation like? I just came across a post that said a SAHM has been asking her husband for $50/month and he denies it; I was so shocked.

Grandparents watching your child is on your time not theirs

For example:
You: we have plans this day can you watch xyz?
Them: no but I can the next day
You: that doesn’t work because the plans are this day nevermind

Give me your opinion!

Found out I was pregnant same week of my grandmother passing.
But the pregancy i haven't announced as only 5 weeks and had a miscarriage in January
But regarding my grandmother passing *my partner at the time*
Was announcing her death to people that ain't related and tried inviting them to funreal which funreal plans was left with a family member and she wanted only family.
I did call him out for it as grandchildren and great grandchildren was still to find out on her passing he didn't take any responsibility on what his just created he just stated nothing to do with.
Nothing to do with you but was disrespectful enough to try go against her wishes .
One you ain't family either
Two is private information which shouldn't be seen as gossip
And three he shouldn't then of started calling me every name under sun .
His stated I'm a disgrace when his one crossed a boundary.
His gone on to say baby I'm currently pregant with ain't his .
Which let me confirm I had a miscarriage with this lad in January and was forced to go through that alone until the very last minute until I contacted someone close to him.
What would anyone do this situation because I haven't spoken or seen him since crossing boundaries and also I don't wanna give someone access that thinks it's okay to treat a pregnant woman like a door stop.
Like is the type of person I really wanna have a baby with ?
Is the type of behaviour I wanna be putting up with early stages of pregnancy.
Is this the type of person I wanna be sharing any information with since he finds it all gossip.
Someone give me some advice on what they would do in this situation?

Help! Please tell me what to do!

My one year old doesnt eat at all. All food I make she picks up and drops it down her high chair. I stopped giving her food in a plate because she would flip it. Now I just serve on the tray but that too still isn't helping at all. So much food gets wasted everyday. What do I do? I feel like giving up!!!

What do I do now? 🥲

This year and last has completely sucked for us. My boyfriend/baby daddy has cancer and is losing his only mother figure since his mum left him as a baby. He is really struggling and won't get help with his mh. I had to phone the police on him last Sunday because he was trying to end his life. That was last week and he's been up and down since but has now decided he's going back to work. He's a fisherman so will be gone for 2-3 weeks and isn't meant to be working because of his cancer. I mostly just try to distract myself with the kids but I'm also struggling with ppd and PTSD and idk I'm fine when I'm with my kids but as soon as I get a minute to myself I'm not okay anymore. For the past couple weeks I've basically just been throwing myself into my son's first birthday. I decided to turn my livingroom into a sensory jungle but I'm not inviting anyone because I've been really struggling with my anxiety and i think it'll be more fun for the kids if I don't have to play host and can actually give them 100% attention. I probably have went a bit overboard with the jungle but I don't even care tbh it's my last babies first birthday. Just picked up the last little bits and bobs and am now on my way back to get everything set up and I'm nervous 😅 I have little sort of activities, games and stories for throughout the day but I don't care if we don't do any of it, I just want them to have the best day (it's his birthday but they both need it). But his birthday is tomorrow so I don't have anything to distract myself with now. And idek if its gonna be better or worse without him there because I'll be even more worried about him. I already hated when he went on the boat incase something happened. I used to cry with worry every stormy night he was away because I knew the weather we had was nothing compared to what he was dealing with on the boat. And now he's going to do it with cancer and not for his usual 5 days but for 2-3 weeks.

Opinions on whether I’m wrong

So my husband goes to work and ima stay at home mom. We have a 16 month old and a 2.5 week old newborn and for the most part I take over with the kids so he can get rest. Well today I went to go take a shower and I washed my hair and I have to put medical creams on. So while in the middle of drying off and doing that our 16 month old woke up screaming and crying. It took me about 5 mins to get her so I could get my clothes on and while I did this he was trying to take a nap. I guess she disrupted his nap bc he was like at this point I’m not even going to go to sleep anymore. Mind you before my shower I gave him a bj bc he had an attitude that I’ve only done it once since having the baby. So he gets angry at me bc he says he only got 3 hours of sleep, which I understand but I explained he is being selfish bc I haven’t been getting any good sleep either, then he goes out to the car to leave and I tried to talk with him and he says don’t bring problems outside. Then he said bitch go in the fucking house to me. How am I wrong for wanting to dry myself off and get my clothes on? Any other time I make sure he gets his rest
