Frustrated

How as mothers (in the US, specifically) literally raising the upcoming generations. How are we not more enraged with the state of our country??? Instead, people want to ignore it. It’s only getting worse. We keep having more children completely ignoring the decline of our society. If this keeps going, our children won’t have much of a future….unless you’re rich af and can pay your way up….

Im from the UK and I'll openly express how our planet as a whole is going backwards. Its disgusting. From the epstien files to trump to other public figures to womens rights seemingly going backwards to the wars. There's so much going on in this world and im heartbroken that my son is growing up with the world in the state that it is. The only thing we can really do is teach our kids to be better than the generations before. Im trying my damned hardest to raise my son as a good man. He's already doing brilliant, hes only 1 and hes helping hold doors open (grabbing onto them and shutting them when everyone has come into/out of the room) for example. I may only be young but I dont even think my sector of my generation (younger gen Z) are going to be able to pull everything together. Nor the generations after us. Not for a long time. This is a topic I rant about a lot because it really gets to me. I've spent hours crying and screaming about the state of the world right now. It's heartbreaking. I feel you girl.

Birth rates are down....so many women are choosing not to have children

And idk, a lot of people are angry, but not enough for a full scale class war

There's also been decades of capitalist propaganda in America, so many Americans genuinely believe it's the best and fairest system. And it's hard to convince an American they're wrong about anything 🤣

One of the best things i have ever been told in my life, is that "the greatest form of social justice is raising good people."
I apply this to my son, and all the children i nanny and teach as well. Im personally one and done for many reasons, but not because the world is on fire. Im excited to raise a man who protects those weaker than him, who understands his privelage and how to use it for good, who will be brave enough to speak up when he hears bigotry in any form, whether from his friends or from adults. Children are the very best of us, the best human beings in the world, its our job to keep them that way.

I know this world is terrifying, im terrified for my son too, but be brave mama. We have swords to sharpen and warriors to raise.
