Hey, I’m high risk for pre-eclampsia and just wondering if anyone else is as I’m after some advice.
I had my 20wk scan today, with no consultation afterward and they didn’t do a urine sample or check my blood pressure either. During my first pregnancy I had both of these done after every scan so found this a bit odd? Due to being high risk, I’ll get extra growth scans from 32wks. My next midwife appointment is at 26wks, my last one being at 16wks. This means both my blood pressure and urine won’t have been checked between 16wks-26wks, does this seem normal to anyone else high risk? Slightly concerned as pre-eclampsia can develop from 20wks and I do already have gestational hypertension

Pop to your chemist ting around locals ones to see which ones take BP. You could also buy one and do yourself if would help with any worry xxx

I’d question it as I’m the same and have weekly BP & urine checks at the hospital, I have a midwife appointment at 24 weeks, growth scans from 28 weeks and consultant appointments afterwards. I was diagnosed with hypertension at my 20 week scan and all follow up appointments were instantly booked x

Hi Shannon. Also high risk here. I've always seen the consultant after every appointment. Had our 20 week scan on Tuesday and they said there's no consultant appointment review today. But they did check my BP and urine though. Xxx
