My 12 week old girl will not sleep for longer than 30 minutes in her bassinet during the day. At the moment I’m contact napping to rescue the nap. Will she grow out of this or do I need to make some changes? I use the rockit but it doesn’t seem to lengthen her nap. I also have white noise on. I’m happy to keep contact napping if that’s what she needs but I’d also love to have 5 minutes to myself!

Enjoy every single second of those contact naps. My little boy never really grew out of contact napping but as he only has 1 a day now it’s usually in the car or pram, but those days we’re at home and I get a contact nap it is the most magical precious half hour EVER!!!

I thought the same… my baby wouldn’t sleep longer than 30 mins unless contact naps up until around 6/7 months when he started sleeping in the cot ! It was heaven!

My baby girl grew out of that about 4.5-5 months old. It’s all when their sleep cycles start connecting better. She is 7 months old now and still has 30 min naps at daycare because there is so much to do. At home she’ll sleep for two hours in her crib.

6.5 month old here, still only naps for 30 minutes regardless of where 😔

very normal! enjoy the snuggles
