Transition to own room, cot or floor bed?

I have been cosleeping with my lo since he was 6 months, and he's now 10 months old.
I'm considering putting him in his own room as I don't think he needs me anymore, we've night weaned and that went really well and now he's started sleeping through the night and he doesn't need to be touching me to go to sleep hes quite happy sleeping on his own in our bed.
I'm considering getting him a floor bed. 1 so he can lots of space and 2 if he ever needs me in bed with him I can easily just go there but my questions when they figure out they can't get out of bed how do you stop them because with a cot its got the sides so they can't get out but what about a floor bed? How are we keeping them safe? All I can think is when he gets to like toddler age he'll likely be in and out bed a lot.

Close the door and baby proof the room. You can get barrier to go around the bed but it gets quite expensive and not usually recommended for under 1s

We've put a gate on the bedroom door and babyproofed the room.

Baby proof the room and keep door closed. I got my twins a a floor bed each at 8 months and I think if they're in it earlier then the whole novelty of getting in and out just doesn't happen because they're used to it and know no different. All my 3 have had floor beds from young and I never had this problem. They only get out when they want me to come sleep with them or they're up for the day. Even my twins only ever got in each other's bed halfway through the night once or twice.

My boy has been in a floor bed since he was 10 months, he’s now 19 months and has never got out the bed in the night or in the morning he just waits for me! The room is baby proof tho and door is kept shut. His floor bed has sides so he can’t roll out but it has a little open part where he can still get in and out by himself x

SUMMER

LADIES. what are we doing about the summer sun!? My sons bed time is 8pm. He usually sleeps all through the night and goes down without a problem. However the glaring light through his window says NO. How on earth can i put him to bed when the suns still out like its mid day!?

I have questioned buying black out curtains, but surely when the heatwave truely kicks in thats going to turn his room into even more of an oven since our windows face the sunrise.

Also speaking of heat. How are we gonna tackle the heat wave in little ones rooms? Hes just turned 2 and i cant put a plug in fan or buy an ac unit and put it in there because that would be a major danger hazard. So what? Do i buy a ceiling fan? Is that even gonna do anything?

Im genuinely stumped mate.

First time calling poison control

I feel so terrible. My two year-old got into a bottle of fix vapor rub took a big handful of it and shoved it in my five months old face and some of it got in her mouth. I googled it and it said to call poison control, so I did. I gave her. The percentage of the drug told her how much I thought she ingested and gave her my five month olds weight. And she said it’s not enough for me to go ahead and go to the ER and I should just monitor her and call back in four hours to let them know if she’s doing OK. I never had to call poison control with my son and I feel like such a bad mom. I feel like it has been way harder than the second time around.

Low milk supply

My baby is 7 weeks and have been breastfeeding this whole time.
I express milk into bottles so my partner can feed but also use breast at night time and pump as a top up.

Today my milk supply has been next to nothing and I am not sure why. Feeds are consistently every 3 hours.

Anyone faced this issue?

Nonexistent sex life

Hey Mommas,
Our daughter is 18months co-sleeps. She started out in a crib, and moved her into a cot (still in our bedroom) at 6months, but when she was 10months old she was really sick, in and out of hospital, so we wanted to give her more comfort when she got home and put her in bed with us. After that we couldn't bear to not have her in bed with us, and she's been a fantastic sleeper ever since.

However, since she's been in our bed, our sex life has completely died because obviously she's in there with us, but we're also not at a stage where we can leave her in our bed by herself to have couple's time elsewhere in the house.

When does this change?

Baby still hasn’t slept through the night..

Has anyone else’s baby still not slept through the night?
He has gotten better now he’s in his own cot for the last month or so, however he will wake up during the night and often stay awake for 1-2 hours before going to sleep. He will always wake for one bottle during the night and has a full 7oz-9oz like he’s starving! But he has 3 meals a day and at least 3-4 bottles too, he only has 2 naps a day ranging from 30 minutes to 1.5hrs, it’s like he doesn’t need that much sleep and has never slept more than 5-6 hours during the night usually from 8 until 1/2am then awake for 2hrs then back to sleep until 6am, my HV keeps saying it’s normal and he will grow out of it.. please tell me they grow out of it 😂 or is there anything I could do to help him sleep longer? 🤞🏻
