Husband wants us to switch from breast to formula

My husband thinks that my breast milk isn’t good for the baby and that he’s wanting to eat too much and our first son drank formula. And he was such a good quiet barely cried baby. And this one had some bad baby acne it’s not that bad now but he’s still not even q month and I told him that happens but he brings up how our first had nice smooth skin. But I don’t think it has anything to do with the milk maybe more like each baby is different ? And he keeps referring to my milk as “poison” and it’s making me think it might be that? Any opinions on someone who did both ? And noticed any behavior changes ?

Poison??? Unless you’re getting wasted or taking drugs that you shouldn’t be, it is not poison. I think mother knows best and if he needs a professional opinion, I suggest talking to a lactation nurse and bringing up any concerns that he has so they can help address them.

Is baby putting on weight ? If so your milk is doing just fine. Every baby is different, reading this has angered me how dare he make you feel like this your breastmilk is tailored to your baby’s needs I mean if you want you can combination feed but that won’t change anything he should never ever say anything like that to you

No offense but… what.!?? I’m no Dr but I’ve even heard of moms who are sick with life long illnesses breastfeed their children… Unless you’re doing drugs and drinking then I absolutely do not think it’s nice at alll that he’s referring to your milk as poison… but again… what the…

As the babies mother you have every right to breastfeed your child unless a Dr told you specifically that your milk is poisoning your child.. get an expert opinion pleaseee.

First of all, lets not listen to the male species when it comes to our female bodies
That “poison” has fed many babies for centuries long before your husband was born, absolutely is not poison and isn’t what is causing your babies acne, if anything quite the opposite! Breast milk has anti inflammatory and anti bacterial properties and will be far better for your baby
In the early days babies cluster feed to establish a supply If baby is gaining weight and there are no other concerns please don’t listen to the nonsense your husband says

Hun, breastfeed as long as you can and as much as you/ your baby want to. Your breastmilk is tailored specifically to your baby’s needs. If he has a rash or baby acne, illness or anything, it is all transferred through their saliva and when your little one latches your body then tailors the milk for his needs.

If you want to test your husbands theory out of respect, you can pump once and see how long he goes without being cranky.

I had a similar issue with my baby and we had to switch to a fortified diet because his little body was not sustainable on a “normal” diet. It had nothing to do with me and everything to do with his little metabolism. (Determined after 1.3wk admission to hospital)

I hope this helps in the slightest. My dms are always open if you need. I feel your pain and wish you and your little one the best.

I mean just show him studies such as this one https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39501212/

It sounds like he needs mental help if he’s referring to your breast milk as poison

Saw another post about rear facing vs forward facing and was just amazed at responses….

The fear mongering around forward facing is incredible… rear facing obviously is preferable but people talk about it as if the alternative is negligent.
Rear-facing being safest often gets interpreted emotionally as “forward-facing is unsafe.” And they just are not the same thing.

I’ve got 3 kids and have done both for different reasons… Living in 2026, forward facing seats are continuously designed to be safer each year. Just wanted to put it out there as we often feel like we aren’t doing enough or are constantly scrutinised as mothers anyway. Do what’s best for your child, you aren’t a bad parent.

Clitoral Adhesion

Has anyone dealt w this?
Basically the hood of your clit gets stuck to it and your hood becomes essentially pointless. It causes a multitude of issues and I’ve been dealing with it since i was 20 I’m 26 now.
I’m a clean freak about my 🐱 so I really believe it’s not due so smegma build up, I read that it can be caused by sexual discomfort and trauma to the clit.
Which checks out.. My partner at the time just sucked, would slam into me like a brick wall. Hardly ever did foreplay, I needed lube constantly. I’m always uncomfy and really NEVER finish.
I brought it up to my Gyno once when it first started happening it was a man and he basically just tried to force my nonexistent hood back and nothing ever resulted from it..

I’m just wanting to see if anyone has dealt with this.. I hate the way my vag looks and feels, im tired of being uncomfy where i should feel good.
I’m pregnant w my second baby and I really want to get this fixed after they’re born..

Sleep help!

My baby is 11 months old and he has never slept though the night!

He is up every 1-2 hours in the night and wakes up at least 4 times. We try to settle him in the cot and if that doesn’t work then we try to settle him in our arms but it’s get to a point he is getting really stressed so I give him some milk to settle him which he has multiple off.

We’ve tried to just eliminate the milk and replace with the water but it makes him worse.

He has the same routine every night- he has a book, gets changed and then a bottle. He has 3 meals and 2 snacks through the day and 1 4oz bottle in the morning after breakfast.

I need any help or advice for getting him to sleep through the night! Thank you

5 months pp, still don’t want sex…

I’m 5 months postpartum and it’s still painful to have sex. I had a C Section, so the scar still feels weird and uncomfortable being touched down there. Has anyone else gone through this? Is it normal or should I be worried?

Dr Google says my body could still be in shock from having a baby and it’s stopping me from enjoying anything.

I cannot be the only mum heading to bed right after I put my toddler down????

I'm a SAHM with a 15 month old. She naps a total of 1 hour during the day. Still on 2 naps. I'm EXHAUSTED by 7.30pm when she goes to bed. She is up at 6am so I literally find myself crawling into bed the moment I've got her down. Sometimes I scroll for an hour. But sometimes I'm going straight to sleep.

Anyone with me???

Bath too hot?

I feel horrible, my baby is 4 months old and she usually likes her baths. And I’m usually good at reading the temperature before I put her in, but this time I feel like I wasn’t. She was ok initially but then all of a sudden as I was cleaning her hair she because fussy and her face changed. Then she because upset and wanted to move out of her bath seat. So I quickly picked her up as the crying got worse and her skin was hot. I then laid her on her mat to soothe her and let her cool down. She is ok now and back to her smiley self but I feel horrible knowing I put her in and it was too hot for her!!! ☹️☹️☹️
