Gestational diabetes

So Ive just found out this morning that I have GD this pregnancy and just wondering what meals works for you if you have GD? I don’t have my first appointment until Monday but need to get a food shop in on Sunday so I want to be prepared for when I start monitoring next week

I’ve just been to a GD clinic today for mine 🙈

It’s just keeping a well balanced diet, more veg 1/2 plate, protein 1/4 of a plate and still eating carbs like potatoes 1/4 of a plate but avoid refined carbs like doughnuts 😂

Swap white bread for brown, the same for pasta and rice (I won’t, I just add more chicken to the pasta or rice).

Walk for 10-30mins after dinner or short walks throughout the day.
But what works for one person may not work for you so do your best.

Fruit is ok but opt for a handful of berries the size of your fist, or the smallest banana/apple etc. mango is a good bedtime snack along with cheese and cracks (1-2).

I fast for 12hrs after a dinner and a big walk, still not the best reading, I have a snack they suggest, still doesn’t work so they think for me my body is just not responding right 🤷🏼‍♀️

Movement

Anyone experiencing really irregular/“unpatterned” movements? I am 23+5. Last week baby seemed so active everyday moving and thumping inside. The last couple of days the movement has seemed less - especially through the daytime - and also feels less intense (maybe just moved position or cushioned against something?). I have posterior placenta. Hard not to overthink/panic so wanted to know if anyone else experiencing the same! X

Breech baby

Hello all I’m 36 weeks and have been told I have a breech baby. Has anyone managed to successfully get theirs turned around?
I have quite bad reflux too so hanging upside down is not ideal.
Any tips or experiences are welcomed thank you xx

Successful VBAC Stories?🥰

So I had my first child just over a year ago and had an emergency csection as we both ended up with infections plus other complications. I went through labour for more than 10 hours before having the c section, so I've been through contractions and everything and it was soo painful and uncomfortable, I didnt actually think I'd have the strength to deliver naturally after going through that. Now I'm pregnant with my second and I have no idea as to whether I want to have another c section or try to deliver naturally. I thinking, if I have a planned c section it will be less traumatising compared to the last time as it will be planned and hopefully more peaceful, but I'll have 2 under 2 so I don't really have the time to recover from a c section while being there for my 1st born as much as I want to..
