8.5 month old still having mucus & blood in stools 😔

Hi moms 🤍 Has anyone dealt with ongoing mucus and blood in stools at this age?

We suspected FPIAP/allergic colitis, so I’ve been on a strict elimination diet for a while, but it still comes and goes. His stools are watery from breastmilk but a bit thicker with solids. Some diapers improve, then pink/red streaks and mucus come back again.he poops frequently about 5 times per day

Doctors mentioned possibly doing a Meckel scan if it doesn’t fully resolve.but I really don’t want to do the scan because the blood is not only symptom .(Meckel is usually a lot of blood only)

I’m exhausted and honestly just looking for experiences and reassurance 🤍

my boy had this and we were in hospital for 2.5days (he was fine in himself) but was abit anxious
we declared him dairy sensitive/possible cmpa, put him on allergenic formula and he was fine after that
the only scan they done was ultrasound to ensure his intestines weren’t blocked or twisted

Sleeping/Sleep training

O I am going to say it. I feel awful. Grace, my LG, is 10.5months. She is exhausted, drowsy and had her bedtime feed.

Normally she falls asleep at the bedtime feed and we cuddle together until she's fully settled and then I put her in her cot.

Now she's in her cot crying her eyes out. I have gone in a few times already, settled her and put her back down. I am now sat on floor outside her room silently crying, I feel so guilty.

We had it down a couple of weeks ago, but recently I even try and put her in her cot and it's like world war 3.

I need it to get easier. Some people have said I should go pick her up and bring her out, but I know if I cave in, she'll expect it every time. If she was doing the hungry cry, then I would bring her out, but no, SHE'S EXHAUSTED!!!

Pram Naps

Any tips on how to get your baby to nap in the pram on holiday when they’re world facing?

We’re currently away on holiday & my little boy will not nap in his pram when we’re out walking/ out & about, but will back at the hotel if I just rock him

Usually he’s great at falling asleep when on walks at home but he’s usually parent facing, however his travel pram is only world facing

Fear has to leave NOW

Can give you a testimony?

So anxiety has always had me in a choke hold.
It first started when I was a toddler and my mom would leave me and my siblings home alone. The gag is -

when my mom left home. So would my siblings sister (14) and brother(12)-Leaving (me) a 3 and 4 year old in the house. And sometimes Locked in the bedroom, so I wouldn’t walk out the door .

And this is the very first moment being scared became an everyday , normalized feeling.

As a teen I began to try and fight my anxiety by watching scary movies and crime murder mystery shows … mainly because I wanted to get desensitized.

This only mad things worst for me. Bc I became paranoid about death. And even more anxious about the world around me.

In my twenties the anxiety carried on an lead to my self sabotaging and disstuctive way of living

But now that ima mom and i wanna finally enjoy life. Fear and anxiety still haunts my life.

But now… I mean TODAY .

I declare fear has to leave.

It cannot govern my path.

Can you relate or do you have something you would to share?

Witching hours making me want to give up ebf

My three week old has had a tongue tie which we’ve had divided but there’s still some restriction. We’re having it looked at again tomorrow. Every evening from 5-10pm he wants to be on my boobs and for the last few nights I’ve seriously considered giving up ebf because of the pain. He’s putting on weight and has plenty of dirty nappies but it’s more how it makes me feel. Also means I miss out on my toddlers bedtime. I want to start introducing the occasional bottle but not sure if its too early as we’re still working out breastfeeding. Feeling very sleep deprived and not sure what to do.

My little one is 7 weeks old now and I’m just wondering if others are still setting alarms for wake ups and feeds or just following their LOs lead? My LO has gained weight well just feel nervous to let him sleep and not have a feeding schedule of any sort?
