Had 1 and loved it. Having number 2 next week x

First went well. Recovering is daunting. Make sure to have someone near. You might need help on and off the toilet, so be comfortable with this person.
Second, I needed intubation. So I missed the awake part and my spouse wasn’t able to stay in the room. Which is a bummer. But overall good. The usually pain afterwards.

I had one but emergency so I was asleep.. but the recovery for the first couple days was kinda painful afterwards it wasnt bad I sure didnt wanna push no 7.5 pound baby out my little cooch lol

My first was born via emergency cscetion and I’m due to have an elective in the coming weeks as having twins

i had one a couple of weeks ago, breech was only spotted at 39+3 weeks, had the section at 39+5, i think i got really lucky because the recovery has been easy for me - it’s weird and challenging having to adapt away from using your abdominals for things like sitting up for the first week but i’ve been completely mobile since day 3. i only remember it’s still recovering when baby’s doing tummy time on my chest and starts to kick the incision. i loved it and wouldn’t have a problem with another one in future

All 3 of ours were a c-section.

My 1st and 3rd were the hardest. 1st because no one tells you what to expect when postpartum or healing. Other than not being able to lift.

The other was because the cat jumped on my incision 24h post. And then our middle child 2.5y jumped on me.

But really… none were “awful”.

Had one for twins and it was great. I mean, the recovery process is painful but after about a week it evens out. Healed up perfectly, no scar even.

Great experience. Surgery was calm & quick. Recovery was manageable, stayed on top of pain meds for a week before stopping it all and kept mobile.
The only thing I didn't love was the blood thinning injections that I needed to self administer for 10days after but not the end of the world.
For my next birth I would have no problem with a c-section again although i would love to experience a vaginal birth. ☺️

Had an elective C-section with our first son and everything was amazing. Thinking of a VBAC this time only because of having a toddler when our 2nd boy is due but if I need another C-Section then I am okay with that as well.

Second time was definitely better than the first. First was an emergency c section and the second one was an elected c section. First one I almost died. Second one, I felt recovery went smoothly.

So frustrated! C section today

Today I’m booked in for an elective c section. After an awful induction process with my 1st that ended in an emergency c section, I had such big plans to make this one a lovely experience.

Take away the night before, my daughter at her grandparents so we can get a good night sleep 🩷

The grandparents wouldn’t have her because they both had work today, which was fine. She’s usually a really good sleeper and has 12 hours 7pm-7am no problem.

Nope, she’s been up every hour during the night and started her day at 5am. We are both exhausted!

Is this a good enough reason to reschedule my section!?

Muscle pain in left calf

Since yesterday morning I woke up feeling like I’d absolutely smashed the gym, but only in my left calf. To the point I’m actually limping with it. Not sure if it’s linked but it’s also paired with a splitting headache. 24 hours later and there’s no improvement. Chat GPT has freaked me out saying it could be a blood clot but I wanted to check here to see if anyone else had had this before ringing 111. Also, should I ring 111?

Early Labour enquiry

My waters broke at 29 weeks which was 2 weeks ago rough now I went into labour and put down in the labour ward and was contracting the day my waters broke they eventually calm down and I got sent up to award to be looked after then later on be sent home I then came back into hospital three days ago due to signs of infection as I was dizzy and headache, high temperature abdominal pain, reduced movements and severe chest pain and shortness of breath I’ve come in and I have no sign of infection apparently but my infection markers had risen but still in the safe zone. Then going back into the labour ward last night with contractions really close together and ended up losing quite a bit of blood which has now stopped contractions have slowed down but still there what is everyone’s experience with Early labour or possibility of having a premature? I feel like my body has failed me this pregnancy. Should I be worried

Uk c-section

I am a size 24 uk, and Friday I had an emergency section. I do have an overhanging belly and have done for years but could anyone tell me their experience with the person and healing process? I’m no fool I know it’s major surgery, but I can barely walk, I cannot stand up straight. I’m scared to go home because our bed is so low down and c weirdly it feels like I’ve b pulled a muscle in my hip that I expect I’d need. When do I start to feel better. Thanks
