Muscle pain in left calf

Since yesterday morning I woke up feeling like I’d absolutely smashed the gym, but only in my left calf. To the point I’m actually limping with it. Not sure if it’s linked but it’s also paired with a splitting headache. 24 hours later and there’s no improvement. Chat GPT has freaked me out saying it could be a blood clot but I wanted to check here to see if anyone else had had this before ringing 111. Also, should I ring 111?

I got really bad cramp a week or so ago in my calf - lasted about 24hrs - couldn’t put weight on it for most of that - I’d been sat on my leg before it happened- have you stretched it or cut off blood flow yesterday???

It could be nothing but it could also be something, my mom has had multiple blood clots and a stroke one of her clots was discovered due to the pain you are describing it is better to be safe and head to the hospital.
I by any means want to freak you out but it is important to have it checked specially because blood changes and thickens with pregnancy and postpartum.

And please don't massage the leg, if there is really a clot you can be releasing.

I hope you are okay and it turns out to be just a cramp x

Advice

I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant

All night so far I’ve had back pain, pain in my vagina and nausea. Has anyone experienced this before?

I’ve taken paracetamol and had a bath but back pain is still there. Had some toast and still nauseous.

Best post C-section advice

I have 3 kids now, my first 2 were delivered vaginally but the third was a c-section 1 week ago because he was breach. I'm feeling very lost when it comes to how to care for the incision and things that are normal while healing and things to look out for. I am also wondering if there is any advice on getting around, in and out of bed, sleeping positions, and just general daily life.

Finally! A successful sweep!

So... excuse my wording... I use humour as a coping mechanism. But prior to today, this week I've had 3 professional fingerings where my cervix has been hiding and when they could reach it, it was tightly shut.

The lovely midwife yesterday did mange to give it a massage and I lost the tiniest clump of mucus this morning (but not really any more since)

Then today!!! Rachel (God bless Rachel) managed to get her finger to the opening and as she did so, I felt a period cramp and my cervix opened enough for her to get 1 finger in and finally perform a successful sweep around the membrane around babies head... but with it being 1 finger, it wasn't classed as a stretch!

Now this was at about 2pm.

I've not really felt too much in terms of pressure or tightenings since... maybe the odd bit here and there.

We had a family thing booked straight after where I sat to eat but then spent the rest of the time pacing then sat on my ball when I got home and paced a bit as well. (Don't fancy braving the hail storms for a walk unfortunately).

I've had a lovely bubble bath with some clary sage and I'm going to crack on with some house jobs(changing bedding, hoovering etc)

Is there anything else (other than sex) that I can be doing to be bringing things along?

I'm booked in for induction at 11am tomorrow (at 41 weeks) but I'd really prefer another sweep and to be given another 24 hours if possible and just want to give my body the best change of spontaneous labour!

I already dodged 1 doctor trying to admit me for induction yesterday and I'll be damned if I can't advocate for giving my own body the time it needs whilst everything is OK to do so!

40 weeks pregnant and no signs!!

I’m 40 weeks pregnant and I’ve had no signs that baby’s on their way. I’ve spoken with a lot of people who have lost their mucus plug or had a bloody show but nothing from my side.

Has anyone else experienced/experiencing this?

I’m feeling nervous about potentially being induced.

(This is my first baby so I don’t know what to expect)

Thank you!!

WWYD 😫

My frozen embryo transfer is tomorrow... and so is being summoned for jury duty 🤦‍♀️

I've come this far so definitely don't want to go into my procedure feeling stressed over jury duty, especially if my group was called in and I'm aware I am no showing. Seems the most reasonable solution is just to not call in... I've never actually had to go so I don't know what they would do if I was summoned in court but no showed.

What would you do? *jury duty is off the table due to my procedure, so would you bother calling in the morning or ignore it?
