So many March 2025 mums pregnant again

I feel like I just gave birth yesterday?! I also couldn’t afford another one right now. How did you feel ready so soon again?

I’m 32 and I want 3 in total so needed to be quick with my second! I timed it so I could get full mat leave again with nhs. So Jan onwards we could start trying and I just caught straight away. So I went back to work after having a year off something like 10 weeks pregnant maybe can’t remember now xx

I was thinking exactly the same 😅 I feel like I’ve only just come out the other side of the trenches and feel like myself again 😂🙈

I think it totally depends on circumstances. We got lucky with our firstborn - great pregnancy, easy delivery, good sleeper... that's massive. It was honestly a godsend because I was back at work within 10 days and me and my husband get no Mat/Pat pay as we're self-employed. Being self-employed, minimising the longer term impact on our work was a major factor in our decision, as was being young enough to avoid complications & have the energy to do business and parent full-time.

I had my rainbow baby at 36 and my sister struggled to conceive her third at 34, so we were wanting to crack on a bit. We started trying again as early as we dared and just happened to get a sticky bean on round one.

Don't feel pressured by other people being 'ready'... Some just don't have the luxury of time on their side and would perhaps rather have rather waited a bit. 😅 I also think some people are lucky in the way of family support / great Mat pay / high earning partner and that makes the decision waaaay easier.

Why is the anxiety so real!!

I am experiencing my first pregnancy and am at a very early 4 weeks, 3 days. My husband and I are super excited, but so nervous about getting through the next few weeks too. My best friend had a miscarriage around 3 months ago and I’ve been there for her a lot since, but her pain and experience has really transferred onto me more than I thought. Any advice to calm myself and not spend all this time worrying and waiting?

Also a follow up question, for those that have suffered losses, how would you advise I tell her when I announce my pregnancy to friends (all being well) ? I don’t want her to be upset or catch her off-guard if that’s the wrong thing to do to excitedly announce in the moment. She doesn’t know me and my husband were even trying as we tried to keep it to ourselves 💗

Bloating discomfort… help!

So I am 31 weeks and 5 days pregnant and the discomfort in my abdomen is getting to be a lot. Whenever I lie down, it feels so tight and like my belly is ready to explode. Nothing really helps and I feel like baby girl doesn’t have room to move as much. Getting up from a sitting position or from lying down is so uncomfortable. Any tips?

Also I drink Metamucil which has tremendously helped my constipation. Online it says it’s basically the natural discomfort of third trimester.

Should I be worried that my baby has already positioned itself head-down at 23 weeks?

I had my first son 4 years ago at 30 weeks and was in the nicu for a month I’m worried that the same thing might happen.
