The first 6 months are hard but they go quick and you will miss them

Yes I do, and I wish someone had told me 3 years ago. I know have 2! 🩷💙

No one can prepare you for how big of a life change you will experience. It is the most challenging and best time you will ever go through. Hang on during the hard times. It is only hard for a short time. And cherish the good times. Congratulations🩷

Another tip, EAT WHAT YOU WANT lol

One thing i learned in my down time is how to sew. I bought myself a cheap sewing machine from Walmart and cut up all my daughter’s clothes and made a quilt when I had time! I love it so much. And I can’t wait to do it for my son who is 2 months old.

Again, congrats!

Totally agree with what Makenzie said and to add:

You won't get much sleep for the first 6 months or so (unless you are blessed with a great sleeper). You thought your emotions were rough during your period, just wait till you're further along your pregnancy and postpartum. Time to get chores done..... Some days, but some days are just trying to soothe an upset baby.

I don't say all this to scare you, but to prepare your expectations. I have 2 kids 10 months apart and it is hard, but it's the best hard I have ever done ❤️

Glucose test

I was offered a glucose test in my first pregnancy with my 17 month old, but wasn’t offered one this time round apparently due to my ethnicity being black African which isn’t in the ethnic groups at risk of GD. I thought they were routinely offered to everyone? Anyone told they don’t need a glucose test too by midwives at Liverpool women’s?

(Don’t get me wrong I absolutely hate the test and glad I don’t have to sit it but just need to know I’m not the only one who hasn’t been offered it😭)

3rd pregnancy and struggling!

I’m 28 weeks today with baby number 3 and I’m seriously struggling - like thinking how could I possibly go another 12 weeks level.

My bump is huge and I’ve put on so much weight, people genuinely think I’m overdue when they see me. I’m struggling to stay awake most of the day and can hardly walk to the end of my very short road before everything hurts and leaves me feeling crippled for the rest of the day.

Im at stay at home mum, which usually is my greatest joy and pride but I’m so emotional all the time and I’m short and snappy with my husband and daughters who are only 4 and 1.

I diddnt feel like this with my previous pregnancies and just don’t know how to survive the next 2.5 months :’(

Is anyone else feeling similar? Any tips or advice please?

Bloating discomfort… help!

So I am 31 weeks and 5 days pregnant and the discomfort in my abdomen is getting to be a lot. Whenever I lie down, it feels so tight and like my belly is ready to explode. Nothing really helps and I feel like baby girl doesn’t have room to move as much. Getting up from a sitting position or from lying down is so uncomfortable. Any tips?

Also I drink Metamucil which has tremendously helped my constipation. Online it says it’s basically the natural discomfort of third trimester.

Why is the anxiety so real!!

I am experiencing my first pregnancy and am at a very early 4 weeks, 3 days. My husband and I are super excited, but so nervous about getting through the next few weeks too. My best friend had a miscarriage around 3 months ago and I’ve been there for her a lot since, but her pain and experience has really transferred onto me more than I thought. Any advice to calm myself and not spend all this time worrying and waiting?

Also a follow up question, for those that have suffered losses, how would you advise I tell her when I announce my pregnancy to friends (all being well) ? I don’t want her to be upset or catch her off-guard if that’s the wrong thing to do to excitedly announce in the moment. She doesn’t know me and my husband were even trying as we tried to keep it to ourselves 💗

Should I be worried that my baby has already positioned itself head-down at 23 weeks?

I had my first son 4 years ago at 30 weeks and was in the nicu for a month I’m worried that the same thing might happen.
