In struggling with what feels like everything at the moment. I’m 14 weeks pregnant with my first baby after 3 miscarriages previously so I’m elated to finally have made it to my second trimester but I just feel like I’m failing. I’m constantly nauseous and so I can’t face eating, when I eat I’m sick 8/10, I’m struggling to drink enough water and hit my protein and just nutrition is out of the window completely.
I’ve received my bloods back from my dating scan and my PAPP-A is low and I just don’t know what I can do to fix it or make it better I just feel like I’ve already failed and my poor baby is suffering because I’m just not looking after myself 😭
Just feeling really down at the moment and wondering when I’ll ever enjoy this pregnancy I have prayed for for so long. I don’t have any friends and especially mam friends to turn to and just feeling a little lost with it all. Please tell me I’m not the only one and it will get better 🥹♥️

Have you been to a doctor? They might be able to give you some anti-sickness tablets.
Also, you’re not failing your baby, they take everything they need from your body. You would have to be seriously malnourished or starving to cause your baby harm. Don’t worry about what you’re eating, if you can only manage toast then just eat that for now! Eventually the nausea will pass and you will definitely find yourself making up for it😊 x

So sorry you’re so ill! I know how it is. Can you ask your doctor about nausea meds? My doctor recommended vitamin B6 and Unisom for me and it was a game changer. I got Unisom over the counter.
I also found drinking ice cold water from a straw made drinking easier. I kept salted crackers on my night stand and ate a few before getting out of bed each morning and it helped so much.
It’s great you’re interested in getting protein in, but sometimes I think it’s more important to just get calories in when you’re so ill. If anything sounds good whether it’s fries or sorbet etc… it’s ok. Just eat something :) when you start to feel better (for me it was week 17) you can more easily prioritize protein. Sending hugs!

Hello, I’m in a similar situation, I was also diagnosed with low Papp a at my dating scan. You can message me if you want someone to talk to

try to remember that part of the reason you're so sick is because baby is taking first grab of everything they need. your sickness shows they are taking all the nutrients. I had the exact same experience and at 28+5 my baby is perfectly healthy. you are not failing. I should be transparent and say I've stayed sick my whole pregnancy, but meds and rest have gotten me and the baby this far and will get us to the end! and it did still ease up around week 17.
please feel free to drop me a message if you need someone to talk to who's been there ❤️
