In the 4 month trenches…

Hit 4 months yesterday and since then my LO has been fighting naps, needing the dummy constantly replaced in her mouth and is grumpy as hell.

I think this is the dreaded 4 month regression or maybe teething.

Send help 😫

Nothing to help but just to say, same

Sorry no help to offer but just to say SAME!! About 12 days in to this fussy phase and I’m exhausted!! Sending love to everyone going through it now!! 🩷

Same here!! Longer than 30 mins is a luxury. Even contact naps aren’t long anymore. The carrier is what helps us but he’s a chunk now

This lasted 3 weeks with my twins 😮‍💨 hated the car, hated the pram, waking up every hour in the night, naps lasted approximately 9 minutes unless they were contact naps - it is hard but we’re out of it and they’re like new babies 😮‍💨🩷

you’re not alone but i’m here to tell you it does get better! my daughter will be 5 months old on 4th june and we’re slowly coming out the trenches🤍

My little boy is going through the same, I’m pretty sure it’s the sleep regression. Extra fussy, refusing bottles and naps etc - running on empty 🫠🤣

Baby monitors

My son will be turning 4 next month and I have no idea when to stop using the monitor in his room, just wondering when everyone else stopped using them? I like the fact when I wake up I can check to make sure he’s all good without getting out of bed but I know there will be a time when I’ll obviously have to stop 🤣 so what age did you stop?

Sleeping in cot

Hi all! Does anyone have any recommendations on how to encourage baby to sleep in their cot? My baby is only three days old but does not settle in his cot at night. During the day he seems to be able to sleep anywhere but the night is different as he only settles on me. I don’t know if I just have to be persistent and sit through his cries but that feels cruel to do so. Thank you in advance!

Chilled. Baby

This isn’t a brag… but my baby is 5 months and rarely cries rarely gets upset can go to restaurants and have her with her and she’s so calm at night she doesn’t cry when waking either she’s chilled when I put her in her cot everytime just likes to play or roll about ….I’ve heard that these baby’s may have traits of Autism tho if they’re a really chilled baby…I don’t usually believe it but it’s got me really questioning now I know she’s only 5 months can’t think about it right now but I’ve never heard her truly cry…… and I just think it’s not normal baby behaviour is it…. Anyways just wondering if anyone else has a chilled baby…….. please don’t hate it’s just a speculation I don’t actually believe it’s true

Struggling 🥹

In struggling with what feels like everything at the moment. I’m 14 weeks pregnant with my first baby after 3 miscarriages previously so I’m elated to finally have made it to my second trimester but I just feel like I’m failing. I’m constantly nauseous and so I can’t face eating, when I eat I’m sick 8/10, I’m struggling to drink enough water and hit my protein and just nutrition is out of the window completely.
I’ve received my bloods back from my dating scan and my PAPP-A is low and I just don’t know what I can do to fix it or make it better I just feel like I’ve already failed and my poor baby is suffering because I’m just not looking after myself 😭
Just feeling really down at the moment and wondering when I’ll ever enjoy this pregnancy I have prayed for for so long. I don’t have any friends and especially mam friends to turn to and just feeling a little lost with it all. Please tell me I’m not the only one and it will get better 🥹♥️

Exclusive breastfeeding…

What keeps you going??

I’m really not enjoying it as much as I did last time. I know it’s best & has tons of benefits but I’m sooooo tired, she’s sicky after every feed and pooing every time I feed her. Which means almost every outfit needs washing as it’s either got sick on or poo on 🙈

It just feels so much … as well as trying to carve out time with my son during the day.. last night she fed every 1.5 hours 😴😴

Hand expressing

Hi, can anyone tell me any tips or tricks for hand expressing?
I tried the other day but didn’t know if I was doing it right. I’m 37 weeks but also know that it’s possible to not get any and it doesn’t mean your milk won’t be there when baby arrives. I just wanted to hear any advice on people that maybe managed to do it as a first time mum??
I did it for a little bit the other day and managed to just get a bit of glazing over my nipple. I want to try doing it again.
Any help would be appreciated
