Prep machines?

I’m currently switching over from breastfeeding to formula and I’m debating getting a prep machine.

I’m using Kendamil which is measured in ml, and the prep machines water is in oz which is slightly different to ml. Has anyone had any issues with this or does it not affect the baby?

It means you'll be giving less water which can lead to constipation and other issues

The prep machine isn't recommended
We just boil the kettle and use the Nuby rapid cool x

I second the kettle and rapid cool x

We never used a prep machine. EFF from 4 months Never had an issue with just doing boiled water and using nubi rapid cool.
I also read if not cleaned properly they can harbor bacteria

Made my boy violently sick. Water comes out way too cold.

Kettle and rapid cool all the way x

The prep machine put my son in hospital at a few weeks old, the hot shot is suppose to be 70 degrees and ours was 45/50 degrees, he was in hospital for 2 weeks, covered in wires & so poorly! Would 100% for the rapid cool & kettle method. It is not worth the risk of your baby being poorly!!

Hi, we got a prep machine and tested it several times and the water never got above 50 degrees, it needs to be 70 for making formula, so we ditched the prep machine. I’d recommend testing the temp. I’ve heard as above that the kettle and rapid cool work.
We use a thermos flask of boiled water that keeps the temp above 70 for several hours, we ‘hot shot’ the formula with about 80 mil and then mix with 40 mil boiled water that has been kept in the fridge to bring the temp down.

Help! What do I do in this heat!

Our bedroom is reading at 26.7 degrees and worried about baby sleeping in the room. We have the curtains and windows closed during the day and a fan and air con unit running but it’s still way too hot. Really worried about SIDS. Any advice?

Recommendations on bottles for breast feeding and bottle feeding mumma’s

I’m expecting my first this year and I desperately want to both breast and bottle feed baby! I however have such a fear that once baby has bottle they won’t want to feed from breast.

Any recommendations of bottles that you have used successfully and still been able to get baby to bottle feed please let me know!x

Breast pump

Hey everyone! 👋 I’m 33 weeks and honestly feeling so overwhelmed lol. I really need to get a breast pump this weekend but the reviews on the ones I’ve looked at are not it 😩
I was leaning towards Momcozy but a few people have said it either stopped working on them or broke down pretty fast, so now I’m second-guessing myself.
Has anyone used a brand they’d actually recommend? I just want something that’s going to last and not give me headaches 😅 Any suggestions are appreciated!

How many bottles should we be giving our babies?

I have a 9 month old and he has a bottle at 7am,12pm,4pm and then bedtime 7:30pm, so 4 a day. He has solids throughout the day and is happy with it but i dont know if im meant to be giving him less bottles and more food or just keep it the way it is.

Baby carriers

Can anyone recommend a baby carrier that works well with C-section? I’m due my c-section in 2 weeks and not really sure what’s the best way about things - carrier, sling… not going to get to a sling library before hand so would appreciate advice for a first time mum!
