Our bedroom is reading at 26.7 degrees and worried about baby sleeping in the room. We have the curtains and windows closed during the day and a fan and air con unit running but it’s still way too hot. Really worried about SIDS. Any advice?

Sorry no advice but we’re the exact same!! My daughter is just in a nappy and her 0.5 sleeping bag we’re doing all the same things too and nothing helps at all

Totally get that you have air con.. but I would open all windows upstairs in every room, make sure the doors stay open so it lets any kind of breeze come through. I opened all of mine at about half 6/ 7 o'clock this morning and my LOs room temp went down to 17/18⁰c .. shut the windows at about 5.20 and put a fan on in the room with the door open and now it's sitting at 21⁰c .. he's asleep in a thin baby grow and a 1 tog sleep sack, and I'll turn the fan off at about 9/ 9.30 and it should stay roughly at that temp all night might go up to 22. And his room is south facing so the sun is shining through all afternoon .. so it gets like an oven.

We have the same problem out of all the rooms hers is the hottest no matter what we do. I do use cool pads (for pets) pop them in the fridge few days ago and pop one under her mattress protector then take it out when she goes to bed. The bed is lovely and cool. She is literally in her nappy.

Open all the windows around half 5/6 and let a breeze through before bed! If you can keep some windows open over night then do, i have the landing one open and her door opened a bit

I bought one them shark fans - it lowers the temp by 2 degrees? But it’s silent and pushes air around regardless it makes a huge difference- on super hot days she sleeps in just a baby grow or on hols I left her in a nappy and body suit x

I saw a video where women tells that you can actually grab a bucket put some ice in it with the cold water. And put an air stream on it from the fan so it can spread out in your room. Which might help a lot. You would just need a fan tho small or large doesn’t matter. Hope it helps
