I had him May 1st and recently (last few days) he will be mid drink and then get really mad and start crying or fussing. He’ll throw his back straight and then bring his legs to his belly and then kick….and then I’ll put my nipple back in his mouth and he’ll be fine and then get mad and cry again. And he’ll have my nipple in his mouth and then stretch it really long 💀 while keeping it in his gums. but he does this when being bottle fed as well. I don’t supply enough for him so we bottle feed him formula as well and he’ll be drinking and then he gets mad and just starts crying out of nowhere
Anyone know what may cause this fit? I was thinking he could be gassy so I burp him (my parents think he’s gassy or upset stomach), or he doesn’t want to eat but he shows signs he’s hungry….so I’m kind of stumped. I thought maybe over feeding. Anyone else had this happen?

Could be gas or an allergy to your milk. Do you eat dairy?

Sounds like gas!

In my experience, this is usually due to colic. Sometimes burping isn’t enough. Do you use anti-colic bottles? Dr. Browns have been the best for our baby! But we have a very colicky baby, so we also have to use gas drops. We use little remedies brand. For our baby, she was still hungry but since she was so colicky her stomach was full of gas so it was making her appear full when she wasn’t so she wouldn’t finish her bottles. Once we switched bottles & started doing gas drops, she’s been better. The gas drops are used as a preventative so we give them to her throughout the day. Can only be given 6 times per day so when our daughter was drinking more frequently we would do every bottle. Now that she’s drinking bottles less frequently we do every bottle.

Sometimes baby can get overwhelmed with a high flow of milk and need to pause for a moment. Are they spluttering at all?
When breastfeeding do you have strong let down? If yes, try another position like sidelying which has less gravity affect on your milk let down.
And then on the bottle try paced feeding - bottle more on the side with just the test full of milk (not upright with gravity trying to pull it all down).

Sounds like a fast let down to me.
