IVF first round failed 😞

My first IVF round was not successful. I turned 40 this month, so it’s been a tough time emotionally the last few days..

The first stimms cycle was cancelled because a dominant follicle took over and the others didn’t grow evenly.

The second cycle gave me 3 follicles, 2 eggs were collected and 1 fertilised, but it didn’t implant.

I’ve had a withdrawal bleed 2 days following negative test and stopping Cyclogest…

I’m now waiting for the clinic to get in touch about what happens next.

How long do I need to wait to start again?

I’m not feeling hopeful at all at the moment

I think normally from what they told me that to wait to have a normal period then start the month or two after and let your body heal. I’ve been thru ivf. It’s a lot on your body physically and also mentally. My inbox is always open.

Negative right?

I’m 7 DPO today. I know it’s too early but just couldn’t help myself… guess I will retest in a day or two.

Continuous BV

Has anyone ever had continuous BV that just keeps coming back no matter what!? And before anyone claims it’s my partner he’s not the problem. I was having this issue YEARS before I met him and there went times where I was 100% celibate. The longest I was celibate was for like a year and a half and I still kept getting BV. I blame my IUD. Back in 2021 I got my first IUD and about 3-5 months into it that’s when this nightmare started. I had never gotten BV before until I had the IUD. At first I thought it was something normal but then after a year I realized that it just kept coming back. When I wasn’t seeing anyone I swore it would go away and nope nothing changed. I would talk all my prescription as directed. Over the years I’ve perfected my lifestyle to check off all the things that cause BV. Doctors are always like:
- do you wear tight clothes? No.
- do use scented products? No. I’ve fully been traumatized by this BV that I only now wash with a simple fragrance free bar of soap.
- do you pee before and after intercourse? Yes. Now that I’m married I literally have a ritual because of the stupid BV.
- are you underwear 100% cotton. Yupp before purchasing underwear now I always make sure now 😒

The only time when my BV went away was when I was pregnant. I got pregnant and magically my BV never returned it was insane. I spent all those 9 months traumatized and constantly smelling myself thinking it came back and it never did. I screwed up big time because at my 6 week postpartum check up I asked for the IUD again and sure enough it came back. I have taken it off and am still getting BV. The medication will work and I’m about a week or 2 it will come back on its own.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Did anyone find a doctor that will listen and given them answers? Now that I have good insurance from my husband’s work I’m going to find the best Gyno I possibly can to see if I can get help but I just wanted to ask on here.

And yes I’ve taken boric acid capsules. It helps eliminate the smell but they don’t resolve the issue. I would like to live a normal life not constantly have BV.

TTC - Positivity and encouragement 🤍

I just wanted to spread some positive vibes to those ttc. It’s an emotional and exhausting journey. I’ve been ttc for the last 2.5 years. In between this I’ve had 5 miscarriages, recent one was last year Easter. We have been trying since then but nothing happened, I was considering ivf, been in and out of hospital and doctors to be checked on my fertility issues. But they didn’t do much! I’m on folic acid 500mg, was taking co-Q10 on and off. I have diabetes type 2 and was told that it will be difficult for me to conceive and my age (I’m 38). Past 2 months I’ve been more active, doing walks everyday, eating healthier, I stopped checking when I was ovulating and I started proceive supplements everyday. Finally my rainbow baby has shown up! I’m finally pregnant!! I actually can’t believe it and been checking everyday since I found out! I just hope the slightest change I did will encourage someone here today so they can get their baby! 🥹

Sprinkling baby dust to all of you!!!
