What would you have done?

So today I needed to make an amazon return. For context I'm in the US and the way they handle amazon returns is you take them to a Staples or UPS and they scan and send them back without having to pack and ship it yourself. Not sure if its the same other places.

I had just the one item. I am also 7 months pregnant and have a just under two year old. I didn't get a cart, none were by the door and I figured it would be quick. I get into the queue and both cashiers are doing returns. No problem I can wait a bit. The person directly in front of me is returning dozens of items. I started counting because I was bored. Lol. I got over 50 separate packages(20 lunchbox ice packs, 30+pairs of leggings her son was stacking on the counter), which did not include the items from the 3 empty boxes (I assume those had already been scanned) in the cart she was using or the unopened box she had yet to pull out from the cart.

After about 10 minutes the cashier asked me if my item was an amazon return and I said yes. She asked the woman in front of me if it was okay for her to take me since I only had the one item. The woman seemed shocked and said "But I was here first". The cashier just said oh okay and kept scanning her items all of which had to individually have a qr code scanned, put in a bag with a sticker, and then their return box needed to be scanned.

The other cashier was clearly new and so it was taking him a while to do the few items the other person had. Eventually he finished and scanned my item and we left after maybe 2 minutes at the register. The woman who was directly in front of me was still in the middle of returning the 20 ice packs.

So my question is if you were her what would you have done? Let me go ahead or keep going with your transaction.

To be fair she was there first and probably just wanted to get on with what was clearly a long transaction.

Personally I would always let someone with only one item go ahead. I do this in grocery store lines if I see the person behind me only had a couple things pretty much any time I notice it.
So I'm just curious how many people would do what I would do vs make someone who would be quick wait.

Safe sleep

My baby’s room is currently 31 degrees I’ve had the blinds and curtains and window shut all day and only just opened the window to get some air in I have now put a fan in that blowing around the room it points onto her for a few seconds and blows straight back off on a low setting is this safe? Panicking 😩🤣

Sleeping in heatwave

When is everyone putting their babies to bed. I only ask because our bedroom egg thermometer is currently saying 30.3 degrees which is obviously far too hot for bub. We are camped out in the lounge with all the doors/windows open with fans on. I am also finding it difficult to get her to sleep because she is so used to being swaddled. Any tips or ideas?

Gro Egg reliability???

It’s showing as 25 degrees in our bedroom again tonight, but our 5 week old won’t sleep in just a nappy so we put him in a vest and he was still upset so we added a sleep suit and he managed to sleep. But based on all the advice we’ve seen online this is the wrong amount of layers for the room temp. Beginning to think the gro egg isn’t accurate as we have been sleeping comfortably in thin pjs and a duvet with a fan by the bedroom door and window open (fan not near baby and doesn’t blow on him). I’m so stressed about it, is anyone else feeling the same?!

Is so selfish to continue to have kids when you’re barely scraping by financially and mentally

My friend, just announced her pregnancy and she just had her third baby 8 months ago?! And she already has a one and two year old. She constantly vents about how things are so tight financially but “makes things work”. These kids end up suffering 😢I’m usually such a supportive friend, but this…. I can’t support. It’s low key making me not want to be friends with her. Coming from someone who is two and done, I recognized my limit and drew a line and overall I’m just tired of hearing her rant about how things are so tight financially and always venting about her marital problems and then continues to add to her stress. Reality has to set in some time!? Should I cut her off?

Would you have an issue with this or not?

Purchasing shoes off Vinted marked as NEW without tags. Specifically purchased because of the “NEW”.
Item arrives, rubber white soles are clearly dirty and show signs of wear (one can only assume this as the dirt is on the EXACT same spots on both soles, brownish orange colour). The inside of shoe and top of shoe are in good condition and look clean. Smells fine. Would you have an issue with this?

Please don’t comment on simply not having issue with buying or using used items as that is not the point of this.
