When is everyone putting their babies to bed. I only ask because our bedroom egg thermometer is currently saying 30.3 degrees which is obviously far too hot for bub. We are camped out in the lounge with all the doors/windows open with fans on. I am also finding it difficult to get her to sleep because she is so used to being swaddled. Any tips or ideas?

I’m in the same boat. Ours isn’t as high as yours, 25 and rising, that’s with a fan on (been on all day) and with a bowl of ice in front of it, it’s keep rising! Shes going to have to sleep in a nappy and on us, but I don’t know what to sleep her on to make her cooler. Our body temps are only going to make her hotter and she won’t settle in her crib without her sleeping bag.
It’s going to be a long night! Xx

I’ve had the same struggle! My LB is 12 weeks old and will not sleep without being swaddled. Her moro reflex is so strong, I’m hoping this calms in the next couple of months (days/weeks). We are using a muslin blanket for a swaddle and sleeping downstairs in the lounge where it’s cooler.

Our rooms are 31 degrees so just been a nappy for last few days

Our room is 31.7 so we are just doing a nappy

Mines just gone down but we thankfully have an aircon unit. Their rooms were 28.7 but with that going it was down to 25.6 when I left them asleep. Will leave it on until we go to bed. She’s in a nappy and 0.2 tog and my 5yo is just in pants 😂

If you can buy a portable air conditioner, it can be a bit pricey but summer are getting hotter, so you will use it more often than you think. Lidl are selling one currently

My 3 week old and I are also in this situation, our thermometer has been showing 26/27 in bed room but front room alot hotter, we've managed just to keep temp down a bit by keeping our black out curtains closed all day with the windows and door open, shes either sleeping in strappy vest or with me monitoring her temperature. During the day we sit on a cooling mat and if she gets extra warm or fussy ive been giving her a quick bath to bring her temperature down which has helped her then fall asleep afterwards

We've moved her crib to the lounge for a few days and I'm sleeping on the sofa - it's the coolest room in our home (still 24c though!)

My sons room is reading 35 degrees on his Nanit at the moment 🫠 everyone’s just in their underwear/nappy 😂
