Would anyone mind sharing positive or negative experiences with VBAC's ? I've just had a consultant appointment and really don't know what to do!

I'm in the same boat. Not sure what to do. But I had an emergency c-section, so not too sure what my experience will be after this

I had 2 emergency c sections 18 months apart I did try for a vbac but baby boy got stuck like my first did. Recovery has been so hard mentally as you’re not meant to pick up the toddler but she just wants me all the time and doesn’t understand. I’ve picked her up a few times but I’ve felt the pain instantly and the mum guilt is just awful x

Hey I Personnaly couldn’t do a VBAC but I did some research, and I found this site very well explained and easy to understand all sides :
https://vbac.com/
Also, in case at the end you end up with a 2nd c-section, my 2nd was planned and super smooth, pain was much less than the 1st (emergency one). Ofc first 2 days was terrible as the 1st but I think as I knew what to excpect I was feeling it much better
Recovery was much much much faster, like 3days after I was walking normally and I could go out of my bed alone (1st I needed my husband help until the 2nd week PP)

Can’t help with the VBAC as my second baby was an emergency c-section due to baby not descending (11lb baby). I have a very very clingy toddler and the first 2 days I was in a lot of pain but day 3 I was out with the pram and could play with my toddler etc. I didn’t lift him until week 4 but it was totally manageable! I found ways around things and made climbing instead of me lifting into a game, we’d sit and cuddle rather than me lifting him etc. kids are super adaptable! You just find ways because as mums we do! So if you end up with another section or choose to it’ll honestly be okay ❤️
