Anyone else finding this a really awkward age to go out with their toddler? She seems to only last 15 minutes max before wanting to get out of the pram and walk and I think oh yeah itll be fine for her to toddle along holding my hand for a bit but as soon as shes out shes off, no regard for safety or other people. Then I just end up carrying her and pushing the pram. I know they are just exploring but please tell me it get easier? I dont know whether to invest in reins at this point as it is really putting me off taking her places but my husband is really against them.

Does your husband have to deal with this?? If not then his opinion on reins is irrelevant. Get them and try them. If they make your life easier then happy days x

My daughter is the exact same shes better if shes just with me i mean today in m&s she needed to pull all the tops off the shelf 🤦🏽♀️ and she has to try climb whatever she can but if shes with me and my mum it’s absolute carnage in the shops 🫠 shes thankfully ok at walking down the road at the moment!! She did try to rip someones door handle off in the car park the other day i told her no she laughed did a little run fell over and cut her lip too she looked like she had fillers🫣🫠

backpack reins have been a lifesaver for us! do you know why your husband is against them? my daughter sounds just like yours, she just wants to be up and about all the time and she's not a fan of holding hands, she's a big girl too so we can only hold her for so long, reins give her the freedom to move about while giving us that feeling of safety so she's only at arms length 🩷

We love our reins! We use them sparingly but so glad to have them. Not sure why people are against them... She has way more freedom with reins than stuck in a pram, also saved her from a few falls. She is happy in them too.

I’ve never used reins but if it makes your life easier, try them. I can’t see how it would cause her any harm and maybe it will teach her to stop leaving your side. If she’s a runner, she’s too little to understand safety so reins seem like the safest option.

Mine has just been on a 2 mile walk whilst on her reins. I havent used the pram in about 4 months now.

My daughter is the same, she runs off! I’ve just bought some reins on Amazon (Trunki brand). We go away next week so going to test them and see how she does. X
