Witching hours

Anyone else dreading the evenings? I know it’s part of their development and it’s completely normal but my god I find it hard. I love it in the day and am so happy to be mum I’m so in love, but it breaks my heart I can’t stop the tears and screams in the evenings. My partner and mum and great at taking her for 10 mins so I can have some time but I just want to fix it instantly and know I can’t and it actually pains me. I also feel it’s when she has trapped wind as her tummy gets rather hard when she cries.

Same here... It's so hard to hear her crying and it's absolutely nothing that I can do to make it better.
Sending all the love and courage it will get better soon

We’ve just gone past the 8 week mark and it’s not perfect, but there’s an improvement. Hopefully you’ll start seeing it soon too 🫶

We’ve found a bath, cuddles (up on my chest and a nap or a late walk around 5/6pm in the pram with fresh air helps as when we get back she’s normally due a bottle, and then tends to nap!
My girls only 5 weeks tho so unsure if it’s to get any worse! Xxx

Yes!! Got a toddler screaming in one room and bubs in another. Nightmare. He’s asleep rn and has been since about 5:30 and really don’t wanna wake it up 🤣

This was me, my partner and mother taking turns to rock my LO to get all the trapped wind and burps out just less than 20mins ago. We use Dentinox for the colic, but it seems that it gets worse in the evenings. I'm hoping it will get better as he grows.

Robyn-Luella 25.5.26🧚🏼‍♀️🌷💕

Arrived to the hospital 5cm with no pain, 2 hours of active labour, 5 minutes of pushing later she was in my arms. This sweet little angel is genuinely the most behaved little girl. i look forward to night time knowing with each wake our bond grows stronger. the love i feel for her is unmatched. i’m so happy im only experiencing the positive parts of the newborn stage and postpartum - no tiredness, no stress and no tears, just new added love. truly truly blessed with my angel. 🩷

Does anyone else have kids that sleep through the night but they’re still exhausted all the time?

It’s honestly awful. I was taking Adderall again, and it helped so much. I had taken it for years before being pregnant, quit cold turkey twice, and never had any issues or withdrawals. I’ve realized at this point I’ve become dependent on it to get through the day, and when it doesn’t work I’m miserable, so I decided to stop taking it, and man. I feel it this time. I also feel like there may be an underlying issue I’ve been ignoring and masking with the meds that needs to be dealt with, so I made an appointment with my primary for next week to do bloodwork. I’m 14 months postpartum. I have a luteal phase defect I never had before in my life that the OB said would resolve with time, but it hasn’t. They haven’t been very helpful otherwise. I have a chin hair that suddenly appeared I’ve never had in my life postpartum this time. I have panic attacks sometimes. I feel like it’s my hormones, thyroid, or some vitamin deficiency. During my second pregnancy I had crazy fatigue that didn’t feel normal, and it turned out I had low vitamin D. Maybe that’s the issue again which will take weeks to improve after supplementation. I also used to get naps every day, but my 2 year old doesn’t não anymore unless she’s in a car or stroller, so I lost out on that. I’m just so tired all the time, but I’m getting 8.5-9.5 hours of sleep every night. What the hell? Is it being a mom? Is it just that that’s making me so exhausted? I do have 2 toddlers.

Induction method

Second time being induced. Just got the news today that I'll be induced on Sunday due to calcium on my placenta, baby measuring on the 5th centile, and reduced movements.

First time I got the pessary put in, was extremely sore and unpleasant and took 36h to finally being 2cm dilated. I am not sure I want this again.

Any recommendations on induction method that worked well for you and didn't take forever?

Thank you girls!
