Dirty nappies have suddenly decreased after 4 weeks?

Has anyone else noticed a drop in dirty nappies? We were changing 2 -3 a day and now it’s gone to 1 in 48 hours and we have now gone over that still waiting on a poo. Baby is happy in herself and having lots of wet nappies and when she goes it’s huge but very loose so not constipated. Just worried as it’s aligned with her being fussier feeding around this age.

How is baby fed breast or formula?

Absolutely normal. My MW says to monitor wet nappies. Poop can vary. Only if baby hasn’t pooped for 5 days straight that’s something to be monitored.

It could be because baby is learning to poo on their own? I think it started around that time for us, now we get like 2 poos a day but it takes a lot of effort from him!

This is very normal. My boy at 3 weeks was pooing several times a day, then on a Thursday did a massive one and then nothing until the Monday 🫠 people on here was saying to get it checked but I spoke to the doctor and they said that they aren't worried until it's been 10 days without poo.

He now poos once every 24-48 hours. Breastmilk is far easier digested and there is much less waste produced from it so it can be normal for some breastfed babies to poo less. The La Leche League website has some good info about it on there.

So don't let anyone worry you ❤️ if she's happy in herself then don't worry. Xxx

Our boy poos every other day. Is breast fed but the poos are much bigger! Doctor isn’t concerned and will only be if we go 5 days

I saw a feeding specialist on Wednesday my boy has dropped to every other day, she said normal for breast fed babies! X

Perfumes and babies

My baby girl is 1 week old and we’ve had some family and friends visit, but not loads. The first time my mum came to see her and after she’d held her for a while baby smelt quite strongly of her perfume.

I don’t want to offend my mum (or anyone else) but I also don’t want my newborn to smell of Jo Malone 😫 is there any way I can mention this and request she doesn’t wear perfume to see the baby without offending?

Almost 15-month-old touching other children’s faces/heads – normal phase?

Hi mums, FTM mama here 😊

My little one is 15 months old and has started touching other children's faces and heads when we're out. Sometimes she'll pat their head while saying "gentle" because that's what we've been teaching her at home.

She isn't being aggressive and doesn't seem upset—just very interested in other children. I'm wondering if this is a normal phase at this age? Did anyone else's toddler do this, and did they grow out of it?

Any tips on how you encouraged respecting other children's personal space while they're still so little?

Breastfeeding mothers, how do you break the feed-to-sleep habit?

My baby is 4.5 months and he wakes every hour. I understand this is probably the end of a sleep cycle so completely natural but he doesn't know how to go to sleep without sucking on my boob. I've noticed he doesn't actually drink, he just uses me as a human dummy. Any advice on how to break this habit? I've tried patting/shushing/rocking instead when he wakes but he screams and wants the boob...

Has anyone had anymore visits from the health visitor since baby was born?

Mine is 8 montns now, and I only had my health visitor come to see him 1 time. I don't really know how often or how many times they are suppose to visit you, but when I had my daughter, I remember seeing them more than I have seen them when I had my son
