My obstetrician cleared me to use fenofexadine hayfever meds both pregnancies.

Two healthy babies.

The issue with medicine is there’s minimal studies on pregnancy as it’s unethical to test meds on mothers and unknowingly affect a baby.

It’s not that it’s not safe, it’s that they haven’t got concrete evidence to not get sued if they issue it.

There’s no real antihistamine that’s been tested on pregnant women but they weigh up the risk. I have been hospitalised over my allergy and needed steroids. I couldn’t risk that pregnant xx
