Postpartum symptoms

Hi Everyone ,

My baby girl was was born on May 8th , it was my first c-section which so happened to be unplanned.Fairly traumatic birth but feel extremely lucky that the doctors made the call for an emergency c-section. All to say that after having my daughter I am on blood pressure medication until my 6 week visit with my OB. I have been experiencing very strange symptoms and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this . Both my thighs and ankles have been red and warm , feeling and looking like a sunburn. I was at the ER twice this week because the oncall OB was concerned about a blood clot but luckily it got ruled out via ultrasound no clots in my legs. Has anyone experienced this? I am going to be checking in with my OB to see what they think it is. The ER said that it was a rash due to an allergy but the weird thing is its only on my legs and that it is happening in the evening. Anyone experiencing something similar?

I too am on blood pressure medication (and also had a c section on May 8th lol) and I get a similar warm kinda itchy feeling in my ankles and feet. Wonder if it’s a side effect of the medication?

What medication is it. I would check the side effects.

Congratulations for the baby☺️ Yes its the weirdest feeling ruling out the blood clot was the biggest relief but not knowing what is causing it is concerning . Your message gives me relief knowing Im not the only one going through this type of symptom.

Change in movements?

Has anyone noticed their babies movements feel weaker? As there is less space?? Don’t know if I’m over thinking it

37 weeks 3 days - baby measuring on the 90th percentile

Been to triage this evening as I was having reduced movements. Baby was monitored and movement was fine. Midwife informed me that baby is measuring on the 90th percentile.. should I be worried? At my midwife appointments when they measure bump it was always that he’s growing not big or small but on track. Just a bit confused now he’s measuring on the 90th percentile..

Labour times for second baby

Hi all! My labour was pretty speedy and was 6 hours from my water breaking (7.30am) to the birth (13:26). I didn’t really have any contractions before my water breaking. I was also induced the night before at 11pm.

I just wondered, those who had quick labours with their first - what was your second labour like? I don’t know if there’s a likelihood or not of the second being just as quick or quicker or if it doesn’t matter.

Would you move house 3 weeks post c section?

I’m having a c section on Thursday and my flat sale and onward purchase have dragged on and on to the point that if we don’t complete at 3 weeks post partum then our mortgage offer will expire and likely the chain will collapse.
Would you do it? It doesn’t sound fun at all. It would be a 2hr drive from where we live so we’d have to stop lots. We would use professional removers and packers so in theory I wouldn’t be doing anything myself, and could even check into a hotel with my mum to miss the whole thing.
I’m just scared from both an emotional and physical point of view that it’s a disaster waiting to happen.
Has anyone done it?!

Growth scan

Hello! Hope everyone is coping okay in the sunshine!

Has anyone had a growth scan before? I’m 26 weeks and I’ve got a growth scan when I’m 32 weeks I’m a bit worried as a few of my friends have had these (I know every pregnancy is different) and ended up being induced later on. I don’t want my baby to be induced too early if that’s the case.

But my question is wht happens at a growth scan? How does it work? I didn’t have growth scans with my first born so a bit on edge about having one with my second

Thanks
