Has anyone else had a complicated c section? I had an emergency c section Feb 2025 after making it to fulled dilated as they pulled him out they didn’t realised I had endo and scarring to the point all my organs were fused together so as they pulled him out they ripped the side of my uterus and the back of it as it was fused together the back wall! I had to be put to sleep before I seen my baby so they could take my uterus out and stitch me all back up…waking up I barely remember anything apart from how much pain I was in I couldn’t even hold my baby!
A month later I went back into hospital with sepsis, they opened my scar back up to drain it again so much pain and time away from my baby!
My boy is now 15mths old and I still have a turbo ovarian cyst the size of a grape, I’m still in pain daily 😫 there has to be someone out there with a story similar to mine?!

I'm so sorry you had to go through this 😪 i had an emergency c section and when they stitched me up they stitched around my bowel essentially paralysing it. It took them 3 days to diagnose this after me telling them repeatedly I was in so much pain. I had to have a second surgery 4 days after my c section to undo their mistake. It meant I didn't really see my baby for the first week of his life and found it difficult to bond in those early days. He is now 8 months old and we are both doing well but I still have daily flashbacks. I know its a different story to yours but I hope you can relate a little bit

I got a horrible infection that I had to go to wound care for 5 months after.

Im sorry you went through this.
I had a cat 3 in november 2025. This was after 2 other c sections. I started feeling pain during my c section and needed GA. Baby was taken nicu before i could see her properly or hold her. She support breathing as she was born at 35+5. When they tried to bring me back around from GA i had respiratory failure and hypoxia resulting in me almost dying. I needed ITU and couldnt see baby. I didnt see her for 2 days and felt useless as i was still trying to bring up my oxygen levels. It also took my body 14 weeks to stop leaking from my section and 18 weeks to not have a hole in my section. Were almost 7 months pp and ive just finished 10 sessions of cbt and about to have journal article published about it by the anesthesist who was the lead on my section
Hope this helps you make feel less alone about your section
