Birth - high blood pressure

Did anyone here have high blood pressure throughout pregnancy? (Even before!) and what did your birth look like?

It’s something I’ve suffered with forever but is only being brought up now as I’m 20+ weeks pregnant

Following, I just got diagnosed with pregnancy induced hypertension and been put on a double dose of meds; was planning on a birth centre birth; triage at hospital said it should be okay but midwife is unsure I will qualify 😭 most annoying thing is I’ve been mentioning that my usually low blood pressure has been higher than normal and you could see it getting higher with every appointment but got told it’s not over the threshold; maybe if they listened it could’ve been managed earlier 😭

I got diagnosed with high blood pressure at 28 weeks after seeing the midwife several times before who ignored my high blood pressure they put me on labetalol and nifedipine to control it , they had to tweak the dosage a few times but eventually the lead consultant upped my baseline which meant i was able to be at home before baby arrived , sadly there were a few complications and i had to have a c section a month early but had it been caught early enough and controlled sooner i could of had a normal pregnancy and birth , talk to your midwife she will be able to advise you but there shouldnt be any reason why you cant go with your personalised birthing plan just make sure you keep an eye out for any changes x

I developed high blood pressure at the end of my pregnancy with my daughter I had my last midwife appointment and it was ever so slightly elevated so it wasn’t a massive concern. I then had to go to the hospital for a growth scan and they checked there I was around 32 weeks. It was HIGH! So they had to keep me in to monitor me for 2 days and start me on Labetalol as I was also getting terrible headaches which weren’t going away with paracetamol.. it went down and they eventually let me home, but I was due another growth and Doppler scan a week or so after that and baby was measuring very small and my placenta was failing her so originally they thought I had pregnancy hypertension but turned in to preeclampsia and they had to deliver her at 36 weeks and 6 days.

I had high blood pressure at about 15 weeks, I managed to get on BP medications which kept it controlled during pregnancy.
I did end up getting pre-eclampsia but this was not until 39+5 so got induced and had a vaginal birth with monitoring during labour.
My BP has now returned to normal and no longer taking meds for it.

I had high blood pressure all through my pregnancy. I was back and forth to the hospital like nothing else. Honestly I think I spent 90% of my third trimester at the hospital. Unfortunately they never fully diagnosed me with anything as they were unsure if it was pre-eclampsia. I never got given any blood pressure medication either although they talked about it a lot.

I ended up being induced 2 days before my due date. My birth wasn’t picture perfect (but who’s is???)
Baby’s heart rate kept dropping and he was super stressed the whole time but I’ve heard that happens a lot with inductions.

My blood pressure dropped instantly after birth but I did spend 3 days in hospital after

Need some reassurance from fellow moms-to-be ❤️

I got my 1-hour gestational diabetes screening results today, and my glucose level came back at 154 mg/dL (the cutoff is 140 mg/dL). I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant and have my 3-hour glucose test coming up soon.

Has anyone else had a higher-than-normal result on the 1-hour test but gone on to pass the 3-hour test? Or been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and managed it successfully?

Trying not to worry, but I’d love to hear your experiences, advice, or words of encouragement. Thank you! 🙏💕

When did your cycle come back if you EBF or EP?? My baby will be 5 months on the 8th and no signs of it coming back, I know I shouldn’t worry but I want another baby (my third) but my first it came back exactly at 6 weeks and not it feels like it’s never coming back 😨😅

Ritual prenatal experience

Hi
I took ritual prenatal in my first trimester and it was very hard to take as i get nausea right after it and the pills come out as well so i moved to gummies.

But now doctor suggested me to start taking it again as my nausea got better and gummies don’t have iron.

So i am not sure how it gonna feel again.
Has anyone faced difficulty taking ritual ? How you survived?
