Baby #2!??

Any other Feb mums constantly thinking about having a second? 😭

In my head, I’ve always planned to start trying again later this year around xmas, but honestly, I’m so scared..I still feel nowhere near ready. I’m exhausted enough with this one! 😅 is anyone planning to try around same time?

How on earth do people get through that first trimester while looking after a 2 year old lol

I've been think about this alot we were planning on trying when she's 18m-2years but we are both now unsure. We would love to have another and give her a sibling but at the same time it's a big change and we don't know if it's the right move so we are very back and forth atm

I’ve got 2 years between my children. Feb 2023 baby and Feb 2025 - think it definitely depends on the personality of the baby. My daughter (the eldest) had a few more words than my son at this point and would happily and calmly entertain herself, my son is the exact opposite so couldn’t imagine having another one if he was my first 😂😂, but not sure if that’s just because I have 2 now

Definitely started thinking about a second. We always said we would wait until our son turns 2 but have decided we will start trying at the later part of this year

Same, we're very back and forth too as to when... I'd love an april/may baby but have an event I do NOT want to miss may next year so may end up trying end of summer as I'd rather be pregnant than have a newborn that time of year 🤣

We have started trying already but it did take 2.5 years to conceive my son so that has been a major factor in when we decided to try again, as if it takes the same amount of time again then we’d have a just over 4 year age gap which is a larger gap than we would like. We were lucky and had a very easy newborn stage (after we got home from hospital anyway) so I think that also factors into our decision!

Birth - high blood pressure

Did anyone here have high blood pressure throughout pregnancy? (Even before!) and what did your birth look like?

It’s something I’ve suffered with forever but is only being brought up now as I’m 20+ weeks pregnant

High blood pressure

I just got diagnosed with pregnancy induced hypertension and been put on a double dose of meds; was planning on a birth centre birth;

triage at hospital said it should be okay but midwife is unsure I will qualify 😭

most annoying thing is I’ve been mentioning that my usually low blood pressure has been higher than normal and you could see it getting higher with every appointment but got told it’s not over the threshold; maybe if they listened it could’ve been managed earlier 😭

Has anyone qualified for the birth centre with blood pressure medication if it stabilised while on it?

Period.!

When did your cycle come back if you EBF or EP?? My baby will be 5 months on the 8th and no signs of it coming back, I know I shouldn’t worry but I want another baby (my third) but my first it came back exactly at 6 weeks and not it feels like it’s never coming back 😨😅

Need some reassurance from fellow moms-to-be ❤️

I got my 1-hour gestational diabetes screening results today, and my glucose level came back at 154 mg/dL (the cutoff is 140 mg/dL). I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant and have my 3-hour glucose test coming up soon.

Has anyone else had a higher-than-normal result on the 1-hour test but gone on to pass the 3-hour test? Or been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and managed it successfully?

Trying not to worry, but I’d love to hear your experiences, advice, or words of encouragement. Thank you! 🙏💕
