When do I work ?

My husband works Sun-Wed 8:30am -7pm he gets home around 8pm. Thursday and Friday he does Uber eats from 6 am- 9pm. Saturday he does Uber eats 6am -2pm and then spends the rest of the day with our daughter.

My daughter goes to half day care from 9am- 1pm M-F and Saturday until 2pm she's with me and Sunday she's with me all day. I need some money because my husband gives me a little here and there but not enough. When can I work based off this situation ?

I have tried to get hired within her daycare hours but a lot of people didn't want to hire for just 5 hours a day. Any suggestions of places that will hire for that many hours?

Definitely sounds like your daughter needs to go to daycare longer, at least till 6pm so you can work btw 9-5pm. Also it seems like your husband wants to keep you trapped with no resources of your own. How is he working so many days/hrs but is only giving you alil bit of money?

Hi Moms of NE Ohio

Hi! My name is Alli, and I'm turning 28 this month. 😊

I'm currently transitioning from being a stay-at-home mom to being a single mom and am looking to connect with other women in the area.

I'm located in Kent and wanted to see if anyone would like to become part of a supportive friendship network.

I love health and fitness, skincare, and genuinely kind-hearted people.

I also follow a yoga/Pilates group that meets in Cleveland, so if anyone is interested in checking it out together, I'd love that too! 🙂

Would you expect MIL to pay for sons birthday meal??

My MIL invited us to a meal at a fancy restaurant for my partners birthday.

They are very much a pay for yourself family ( although my partner is very generous and often pays for them if we go out), however, I assumed as it was his birthday and she picked somewhere fairly expensive (£20 for a roast), that she would be paying for the both of us.

When the bill came it was very awkward and my partner said he was happy to do whatever. FIL looked a bit confused and MIL said put £100 on our card and we just pay the rest (£50), which is technically their share plus £25.

I personally thought it was quite rude to invite us and not pay for the whole thing but I wondered what everyone's opinion was.

Would you expect them to pay? X

Anyone else become petty after the baby?

I’m even finding my friendships to be transactional. The ones that never ask if I need help? I have zero urge to get a babysitter to hang out with them. Why spend money to go hang out with you and spend more money when you can’t even be bothered to be my friend for free??

Exercise

First time mum with a 6 week old. Are any April mums managing to exercise yet? I don’t want to sound vain but I have lost a lot of weight since birth, but still have a pouch and lots of fat around my middle. I don’t like it, I know we need to retain fat for breastfeeding, but I can’t help but feel I’m not ready to be in a swimsuit for summer.

I physically feel I’ve recovered enough to start exercising at home, but I don’t know when as my baby is on me almost all day and all night, she only really contact naps.

Any tips? 🫢

Pregnancy with 3rd baby

So. I have a 3 year old and a 20 month old and have just found out im pregnant with my 3rd. I had actually taken the morning after pill but turns out it hasn't worked. My partner was happy when I first told him and he was even making jokes about us being a family of 5 etc. but then I was saying how I was unsure about having a 3rd and he says he's also 50/50 but I do feel he's more leaning towards not wanting it because the time isn't right. Because the last 4 years have been full on and they have been hard having 2 kids already so close together.
And now we would need a bigger car etc and neither of us have worked in ireland since we only moved here less then 12 months ago. We dont have the money to buy a new car outright so finance would have to be the go to.
I just dont know what to do. Im only 4 weeks pregnant but need to decide whether to keep or not.
Our relationship hasn't been great for a while and now and again I do think about leaving him because im not happy. I just dont know what to do?
Well I think it would be best to get rid but at the same time I feel I'll be emotionally recked after? But is that worth it then to have another child and then suffer and struggle?
