Am I the only one who's Jan24 baby not potty trained?

We have tried but it's a nightmare, just refuses😭

Nope ours isn’t, she’s not ready and not showing signs of being ready. We are in no rush to start until she’s showing signs x

My LO is also not yet potty trained, and we have not tried yet. He has shown some curiosity in the potty. He knows what it is for, and we have had 1 wee in it, but I am not sure he is quite ready yet.

Nope! She understands , asks to go to the toilet, can use the toilet but when we try to do official training she won’t entertain it.

I don't feel like mine will ever show that she's ready, she's very adamant about not doing it it's a struggle

My May 24 baby is not, not ready either. Won’t be rushing they do things at their pace at this age there’s no telling them 😂😂

Absolutely not, we are taking a slow approach. Absolutely no chance am I staying at home for 3 days with no nappy on 🙈

Lol, nope. But we're going to try next weekend! He's finally stopped refusing the potty, so we're just gonna try. If it doesn't work out after 3 days, we're going to try again later. There's no rush until you're ALL ready to try!

nope she has used the potty a few times but that’s it i know she’s not ready yet and she isn’t talking yet either so that makes it harder , one thing at a time i know she’ll do it when she’s ready

We've not tried yet, was thinking Iver the summer, and if he isn't ready, will try again when he turns 3, not.putting pressure on any of us

We’ve started this week but not dry yet still getting a lot of accidents when she’s distracted and struggling with poo on the potty

When did your baby start teething?

My baby girl is 4 1/2 months and just dribbling lots, and quite fussy and lost her appetite a little are these the first signs of teething? ☁️

Would you be happy to watch someone else's child for a few minutes while the Mum changed their other child's nappy?

I took my 3yo and 6mo to soft play today. At one point, my baby needed her nappy changed. Rather than dragging my eldest away from play, I asked a couple if they would be happy to keep an eye out for a few minutes. They were lovely and happy to. He was playing independently, it was basically just to stop him running away/anyone taking him to be honest!

Do you think that's an okay thing to ask? Up until today I'd been avoiding taking them both somewhere like this due to this very scenario - my 3yo at a stage where I really couldn't rely on him happily coming to the toilet when I asked.

Why do grandparents/aunts do this?

While talking to my dad on the phone, my son interrupted asking about his sensory sandbox. I told him he could only play with it outside.
This got my dad on the topic of sandboxes. He asked if we had one and I said no, our son has his sensory box and that's more than enough.
He asked if it was a conscious choice not to have one.
I told him that we don't have one because our dog would spend most of the time in it, our son has his sensory bin and he plays in the sand enough at school. Plus we don't really have a place for it in our backyard.
My sister texted me today saying that she and my aunt went in on a present for my daughter and hopes it arrives by the weekend. I go to get our produce delivery and there is a large box the label says sandbox.
I called my mum and she said they all went in on it and she's bringing the sand to my daughter's birthday.

My husband barely tolerated the sensory bin before we moved to a place with a usable backyard. Now we have something 100x the size of the bin.

Nudity in the house hold.

My toddler is now 3. He has seen me naked his whole life. My husband approached me and told me i need to wear clothes in the house. He can no longer see me naked. i ask why. He said he is talking about boobs. I said ok. what about boobs is upsetting you? he refused to answer and say i need to wear clothes. When i walk around the house I wear clothes. in my room im in only my underwear. I sleep in my underwear. My son was breastfed till he was 20 months old. Had it as comfort since like holds when sleeping or lays his head on it. He’s learning that he can be near it but you cant touch them. I have a newborn now who is also breastfed and i am also pumping. Hes jealous so wants me more so hes learning to share. Thoughts? I made a post a long time ago and concluded my husband is jealous. Still think thats the case?

Will they be ok?

I have decided to leave my husband. I have two kids with him 4 and 6. My only experience of things like this is that this will be life crushing for my kids.

He wasn’t physically abusive but he is an alcoholic. He lost three jobs in the last 9 months and has been hiding his drinking during this time. We’ve been together 8 years.

I’ve been knowing this is coming for a while. During some very hard times in our life he wasn’t able to be there for us and has not been able to keep himself healthy or mentally well for our kids. Our last straw was not being able to make rent this last week.

Tell me, are my kids going to be ok? Have I just signed them up for a life of brokenness?

Weaning

My little one is just over 6 months and we have been weaning for around a week now (just singular vegetables, porridge etc.)
I have looked online and it says that she should have 1-2 teaspoons a day however, if I give her that she is screaming at the bowl and spoon. I am having to distract her with a toy to take the bowl away.
When did you start upping the amount and frequency of food ?
I don't know if she is wanting more just because it is a new thing or if I should be giving her more.
I know food is just for fun at the moment so I don't want to over/under feed her.
