Wound opening

Has anyone experienced their wound opening on one side?

I had my stitches removed yesterday afternoon and noticed last night my wound had come open and was leaking. I went into hospital and they haven’t stitched it back up, only gave me antibiotics incase it becomes infected.

Is this normal practice? It weirds me out that it’s open! 😬

I had my dressing removed, internal stitches and mine popped open because it had an infection inside, they gave me antibiotics and it resealed itself 😊

I had internal stitches, they opened a little and my OB said to keep some of the stitch stickers on it and it closed on its own and is healed perfect now!

Heartbroken

I went to do an emergency Ultrasound since I have having brown discharge and some bleeding when I went to wipe after using restroom for a week straight and some cramping. There was no heart beat and I’m supposed to be 7 weeks and I couldn’t see much in the ultrasound. I think that the baby stopped growing. I am praying that everything is fine but I’m just in the ER room waiting for answers. 💔🙏

C-section Trauma

I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my second and having a hard time deciding whether or not to do a scheduled C-section for this baby. My first is almost 4 years old and was an emergency C-section after 3 hours of pushing. The experience was extremely traumatic and I don't feel like I'm "over it".

I had an appointment today at the hospital and accidentally walked into the maternity floor and had a panic attack that has left me crying for hours. I don't want to be triggered like this after 4 years. Everyone I know who has had an emergency C-section is living their lives normally. I feel like I can't move through this no matter what I do. And now I feel like it's affecting my second child.

Looking for either advice or sympathy lol

Help please 🫠

So I got diagnosed with high blood pressure last week Thursday. I’ve been getting my blood pressure measured every few days and hospital claim it has stabilised. I have received a phone call from a doctor today saying that even though the blood pressure stabilised they want to induce me on my due date which is in 11 days and I would be 40 weeks.

The doctor was under the impression that this has been mentioned to me and I’ve received leaflets and I was clueless. Not happy about how this was a phone call conversation when I was at hospital yesterday and someone could’ve spoken to me about it.

An induction is something I really wanted to avoid due to the horror stories I’ve heard. And the idea of an emergency c section petrifies me as well.

This is my first baby so I know I have a higher chance of the induction failing or the need for an emergency c section.

I guess the help I’m asking for is do you reckon I could request a planned c section instead? Or is it too late? Should I try the induction? Has anyone got induction stories? What is the recovery after a c section like?
