No Sleep training

I’m struggling with sleep training my 12 month old, second time. First time I gave up on day 3, because the gentle check in method ended up feeling like a CIO with baby facing literal fear and stress when placed in the crib or crib room. Now second time trying gradual method. By fading out one association at a time. He’s on one nap now. The entire night would keep nursing and latched every few minutes. And does only contact naps. If anyone did a gradual method, what was that like? If not sleep trained what does that look like?

Hi. I'm a baby sleep coach. I can teach you a gentler method than the gradual method. It's part of the Baby Sleep Accelerator Coaching Program. You can get a complimentary strategy session with me here: https://calendly.com/baby-sleep-accelerator/discovery-call

My 13 month old HATED his crib. I weaned him from BF first then a month later started sleep training. Actually this week is when I started and he's doing great! I started with turning his crib into a toddler bed. I let him play in his room to get comfortable with his bed then did a couple naps in there and transitioned to nights. So far he's doing great! He wakes up a couple times (2 max) and falls right back to sleep when I pat his butt or rub his back. Absolutely NO TALKING when I'm doing this too.

How often do you and your partner have sex after having a baby? Specially if your baby is coming up to 1?

What would you do? (theoretical)

Your baby hasn’t slept for hours and hours and is clearly overtired. You’ve been trying to console them for so long you didn’t notice you’re overdue to change their nappy, and the whole yellow line has turned blue from urine. As you notice this, they fall asleep. Not a deep sleep, but asleep nonetheless. As you put them in their crib you notice their fontanelle has sunk about half a cm. You know if you change their nappy there’s a high chance it will wake them up, and they have previously refused feeds from exhaustion before. The nappy is pretty full but you don’t know what’s inside. There’s a chance you can only manage ONE of the following for the next few hours. WWYD?

Co sleeping

Do any of you guys co sleep with your babies? I’m a first time mom, and the crib never worked for us, my baby never slept in there right. The only way for my baby and us to sleep is baby sleeping in the middle. We practice safe sleep, have the whole bed gated so baby won’t fall. But I feel bad that baby isn’t sleeping by themselves. Any tips or advice to get baby sleeping by themselves? Or just stay to what I’m doing? As anyone been in the same position? And how long did baby stay on the bed?

Self settling

Does anyone have any tips for teaching their baby to self settle? We have an 11 week old baby and we want to try and start teaching him to self settle. At the moment he usually only settles to sleep in our arms (usually mine when I’m bouncing him around 😂)

Do you baby perfume on your babies/toddlers?

If so any recommendations? (UK)
Do you apply on their skin or just clothes?
