Nighttime nappies

What nappies are you using at night for those doing longer stretches now?

We have used Sainsbury’s since birth and get on great with them. But if I don’t change him through the night he wets through.

I put a nappy on him at 6:30 after bath. Had milk at 7 and he went to sleep. At 10pm gave him a dream feed.
He’s just made a loud noise at 2 that woke me, but when I checked he was still asleep, I was going to leave him but decided to feel his bottom area and he had wet through.

I use rascals for my daughter. We've done many dream feeds with no issues only had one blow out in the 6weeks shes been here.

Through Experience with my 1st boy - I always sized up nappy at night for this reason. I also used pampers premium (only for night time) as they seemed to hold better.
I know plenty of people that had the same problem and also sized up

I let my baby cry it out

My baby is 3 months old. We’re not officially starting sleep training but today has been brutal. He had been up for 4 hrs and was so fussy because he was exhausted, but he would not go to sleep. I tried nursing him to sleep, rocking him to sleep, walking around the house with the baby carrier, walking around without the baby carrier, laying him down on the bed next to me, having sensory time in his playgym, reading to him, singing to him, NOTHING was working. So I laid him down in his cot awake and fussy and sat downstairs watching on the monitor. He cried for about 10 minutes, then fell asleep.

I feel like a terrible mom that I couldn’t soothe him to sleep, he was just so overtired nothing was working. He’s fast asleep now but I don’t know if what I did was right. I told myself 10 minutes and if he’s still crying I’ll go try to soothe him again. But as I was literally getting up to get him, he went from crying to silence. I went in to make sure he was ok anyways because the immediate change from crying to not kind of scared me, but he was totally fine. Fast asleep.

Is it ok to let him cry himself to sleep occasionally at this age?

What would you do?

I queried something with my health visitor today and she said to be giving her 600mls per day. As she gained 2lbs in just 2 weeks but she's used to having an average of 884mls a day. Would you try and cut down on the milk or just continue whats working? She's 4 months old. She was gaining weight at a nice steady pace but she's shot up on the centiles in a short frame of space. She's had more than 600mls a day for over a month. So wouldn't even know where or how to do it. HV didn't tell me how just said 600mls. She's not sick or in any pain. She's happy in herself and she knows when she's full as she pulls away from the bottle and doesn't go back. So do I follow what I'm told or just keep doing what am doing?

Losing People due to life changes

So I got married last November. Pretty much conceived on my honeymoon. And we are now expecting our babygirl at the end of August. With all the life changes that have happened to me in the past year. I have notice I have lost some friends who can't grasp that my life has changed and will continue to change. Because my child ain't going no where. And will always be my priority. My priorities are different and it's like these Gen z friends of mine just don't get it. It's been low-key annoying and stressing me out because I'm like umm I can't change being pregnant and I can't change that I'm a wife, stepmom, and gma all at the same time now. My life is different. And I'm being penalized 😔 anyone else going or gone through this type of bullshit. It's why I hang with my generation and older normally. Cause zillennial (young ass millennials) and gen z just cut different (in a very immature way) .

do you believe “not every cry needs attention” ??

For example, your baby is crying even though you’ve done everything. They’re fed, they’re burped, they’re changed, they’ve slept. do you believe letting them cry it out sometimes is okay when you aren’t sure what they’re crying over or what else you can do to help them??

I see multiple different opinions on this

How many diapers is too many?

Idk if there's a cloth diapers group but I'm making diapers for my little one. I'm also planning on selling them at a market stand but they're super expensive to make. It costs me $15 to make 1 so i'm selling for $20. If people buy them, IDK how many to expect them to order. The idea is buy 1 at the market and put in a preorder for the full stock. I won't have that many done by the time the market is here. So, how many is too many? How many can I expect to sell to each baby?
