NIPT

Hi everyone, just had my 12weeks scan at 13weeks and NT was 2.6mm and everything else was fine on the scan. The NHS combined screening showed high risk of DS of 1 in 88 chance , currently waiting on NIPT . Super anxious and stressed anyone honte through similar situation please.

Hey, just wanted to give you some reassurance during this horrible stressful time. We were given high risk DS, 1 in 50 due to high NT measurement. We had a horrible 2 week wait for NIPT results, luckily we were given low risk. We still had a rocky time with other things but I had a healthy baby born. She is nearly 7 months and excelling.

I was told by many midwives that they hate the combined screening as it not very accurate. It’s a cheap way to screen babies and to filter who need a NIPT.

I would research for hours looking for positive stories. Take time for yourself, lean on your close family/friends for support and I really hope everything goes well for your family.

How are we dealing with the exhaustion?!

How are we all dealing with the exhaustion??? Baby is 7weeks old and I feel I haven't had a full night sleep in months (which is technically true as I didn't sleep great in the third trimester).

Baby boy does to a chunk of sleep most nights from around 9/10 - 2/2:30 but then can be really unsettled after 3. I know I'm lucky that he does a chunk of sleep but I'm sick of people telling me that because I still feel absolutely wrecked from tiredness!

Also sick of people telling me I look great because I really don't feel it!

Gender scan uncertainty

I had my gender scan at 15w GA in WTTW and was told it’s a boy… I don’t know what I’m looking for but my boys scans did not look like this one and my friends due in July and was scanned at 15 weeks and her gender scan looks the same as my previous pregnancies… (I have twin boys and she’s having a boy) so I’m so unsure about the decision on this scan!

I’m probably wishful thinking as I’d love a little girl but thought I’d post for any advice or what you think? I haven’t got any girls to compare

Birth partner

I never see section birth partner is probably very different from a natural birth, birth partner.
Are there any key things that I need my birth partner to know or to do to be able to support me through a gentle c section?

C-section

I’m 38 weeks, c-section is booked for next week.
I’m so sad as I really wanted to try give birth this time as I didn’t get the chance with my first born.
😞 but nothings happening no signs nothing

Packing for Induction

What would you suggest to pack more of or extra for an induction? This is my first and I currently have my bag packed for a spontaneous birth but induction is looking more likely. Thanks in advance!

88th Percentile

Hi just needed a bit of advice. Not sure what to do or if I’m panicking for nothing.

I’m just over 33weeks and have started growth scans due to my long term condition. During this scan I was told that my baby is measuring at the 88th percentile? When I’ve been measured by the tape all this time it’s shown to be 50th percentile (I know it’s not accurate).

Anyway the doc said that if it reaches 90th percentile then will be looking to see if I have GD? But when I had my glucose tolerance test at 25weeks it was fine.

I know I’m just hormonal but feeling so guilty and can’t stop crying. I’ve had a rough pregnancy sickness and foodwise and haven’t had that much to eat. The only thing I’ve been able to handle is fruit, ice lollies and coffee frappes (without the cream). Did I induce this?

Any advice would be appreciated.
