Grunting baby

For the last 5 weeks, my baby has been generally easy to put down at night but the past 3 nights have been absolute hell. From 2/3 am he will grunt and squirm like he wants to poo and wants to be held but even then he still squirms like crazy. Anyone experiencing the same? This is my second and I co-slept with my first but even co-sleeping won't settle this baby.

I have noticed this the past 2 days with my little boy....he will be 5 weeks tomorrow. He has hardly slept as well squirming about as if he cant get comfy

Our son is only 9 days old but we think hes had trapped gas last couple of nights because he was squirming and clearly uncomfy, we can hear his little tummy gurgling and sometimes after the squirming he does little farts. He would be pulling his legs up to his chest, moving his arms, grunting and then eventually crying if he wasn't being held

Our little boy started doing this at 3 weeks after being easy to put down so we was totally blindsided and incredibly frustrated, we have since figured out he has silent reflux 😢

We've had exactly the same lately with our 4 week old, feel so helpless not being able to help them

I’ve had this too - found that bicycle leg kicks then straight then to the chest in circles both directions helps, so does holding with back against your chest and legs up.

If your LO is already sleeping or has fallen asleep at home and you need to go out do you wake them up or let them sleep.

When I say you need to go out I'm not talking a must like a GP's appt. I'm talking say to meet up with a friend.

My 3 weeks old son slept through the night

Good morning, I’m panicking because my son only sleeps in my arms throughout the day and in the past two days every time I tried to put him in his cot he would wake up after 5 minutes. So he had very poor sleep for the past 48 hours. Yesterday I was exhausted and he finally fell asleep. I woke up in the morning and he never woke up to be fed last night. This morning he woke up I changed him and I breastfed him as usual. He doesn’t seem stressed, but I feel really guilty. Did this happen to anyone? Should I be worried?

Do you kiss your kids on the lips?

I was at playgroup today with my 1 and 2 year old chatting with another mum whilst they were running around and my eldest came up to me mid chat and put her hand on my shoulder and leaned in for a kiss then hugged me and ran off I obviously kissed her back. My youngest copies everything her big sister does and did the same.

The mum I was talking to asked me don’t I feel strange them kissing me on the lips that she won’t let her little boy. I never thought about it but now I’m thinking is this weird I do it? Should I stop them kissing me on the lips and stick to kissing on their forehead 🥴

Night shifts/feeding

My partner is going back to work soon, we’ve been super lucky as he’s managed to have 4 weeks paternity leave but my goodness - how do you manage night shifts/feeding when your partner returns to work?

We are only just managing at the moment with two of us and dreading him returning to work and how I’ll manage considering he’ll need enough sleep to actually be able to do his job. Advice appreciated!!

Can I take my 9 month old on an uber without a car seat?

I may need to go to London (I live in Birmingham) for a few days, and will be taking public transport there. Once I get to London it’ll be quicker for me to order an uber. I won’t be taking a car seat though as I’ll already have a pushchair on me.

Baby carrier recommendations

Hello!

I would like to buy (another) baby carrier and need some recommendations, please.

I currently have a wrap baby carrier and my baby loves it. However, I would like to buy something that is easier and faster to put on.
My baby is 1 months old.

I would appreciate any recommendations from your own experience.

Thank you so much ♥️
