Hi mums 🙂
I was hoping for some advice or even to know others are going through this.
My 5mo old girl night sleep has gone dreadful!
It’s never been amazing but has certainly been better than it is now.
She’s gone from sleeping 3 hours at a time through the night to waking every 45 mins to an hour.
She used to sleep longer if we go slept but is now waking at the same intervals then too.
She’s exclusively breastfed and definitely getting enough milk. She sleeps 3-4 hours a day between 3-4 naps.
Even transferring her is becoming an issue as she will bend her legs up in her sleep and then drops them suddenly causing her to wake.
She won’t self settle to sleep in the cot and has to be held and fed to sleep and will pop off the boob when she is going into a deep sleep. Il wait upto 30 mins transfer her and then il get about 45 mins to an hour before waking again. That’s if I can transfer her, the fist transfer of the night seems to work and the all others fail.
She will on occasion during the day put herself to sleep when out in the pram or car seat but hasn’t mastered this at night.
Even now she’s asleep on my bed and keeps startling every few mins and almost waking herself up.
Any tips that can help?
Thank you

I think it’s just a breastfed baby thing, my girl is 9 months and still sometimes wakes up 45mins-3hours 😩 they also go through sleep regression a lot of the time

Similar story to yours, I'm amazed how we made it to 2.5 years now...
When my son was younger I got advised about sleep training. Tried gentle methods, none of them worked. He started sleeping better at 20 months. Still wakes up once or twice almost every night.
I can only offer solidarity and advice for you rather than for your little one.
-Simplify your life as much as you can.
-Get all the help you can.
-Squeeze in nap/sleep whenever possible.
-Don't forget to look after yourself.
You're doing well mum
