One thing that has really wound me up from the beginning of my first time pregnancy… why is it any tests or medical intervention you have - you hear NOTHING in terms of results.

I’m told “if you don’t hear anything it means it’s fine.” How about a quick, simple email or call to just reassure someone and confirm they are fine.

Examples for me personally - any blood tests; never hear anything back. Tested for gestational diabetes - never heard anything back. Had a swab from my cervix at 26 weeks to confirm it was thrush and nothing else - never heard anything back.

Late 20 week scan?

My 20 week scan has been booked so late ill be 25 weeks when i have it? Does this seem a little late? Im just worried they'll be late to seeing something crucial 😭

Pain relief at home

Does anyone have any ideas for at home pain relief? I’m having painful contractions about 3-5 mins apart, hospital sent me home. I’ve tried bath and paracetamol but it’s had no effect. I’m currently operating on 0 hours sleep as I can’t settle through the pain 😭

Nickname for a girl

I’m pregnant with a little girl and have decided on Aurora for her name
I’d like a nickname for her and have seen the most common nickname for Aurora is Rory

However, our surname starts with Ri (same sound as in River)… so I’m thinking that Rory River might be some sort of tongue twist or sound weird

Am I overthinking it? Are there any other nicknames that don’t end in “ry”?
