👕 Comfort & labor
1–2 loose nightgowns or long T-shirts (front-open is best for breastfeeding)
Comfortable robe
Slippers or flip-flops
Socks (feet get cold during labor)
Hair tie / headband
Lip balm (dry lips are very common)
🧼 After birth care
Heavy-duty maternity pads (hospital gives some, but bring extras)

I would like to preface by saying don’t over pack because it’s a headache when leaving the hospital. I know every family/delivery is different but I did it twice and was annoyed with myself both times.

Mom: 1-2 gowns (I wore the same one the entire stay)
Chargers
Headphones
Tablet/ipad
Nursing bra if you want (I didn’t)
Soap
Lotion
Tooothbrush/paste
Hair products/tools if necessary
Glasses/contacts and solution
Going home outfit (first time I wore sweats. Second time I wore a cute dress. Dont forget a bra and panties)
Important documents
Thought about snacks, but I actually like hospital food 🙃

Baby: Depending on your hospital, they may provide a lot for baby (diapers, wipes, paci, swaddle). I would call and ask.
Going home outfit
Socks
Blanket
That’s all I used because they provided everything else

Dad:
Charger
Toothpaste/brush
Pillow
blanket

Is it normal for pre-school applications to require your marriage license (only if you weren't married at the time your child was born or if you have different last names)?

This is my first time enrolling my child and it felt like a weird requirement but maybe that's normal? They will already be receiving their birth certificate that has both parents' signatures. A marriage license isn't requirement for parents who were married before birth or for parents with the same last name, that's the part that makes me feel odd about it.

Disappointed

Had my anatomy scan today, I laid on that bed for an hour and 15 minutes and the tech didn’t say one word to me we didn’t get to listen to his heartbeat and we didn’t even get to see him 😔 I got in the car and just started crying my eyes out. This is nothing like my first pregnancy. I havnt seen him since my first appointment….. my heart is broken rn.
