I’m pretty sure the hospital supplies you with everything you need but I’m not sure this is my first too and I’m 1cm dilated so I probably should figure it out

I tried to pack minimalistic

Me:
-2 nursing bras
- 2 pairs of pjs (button down shirt)
-delivery gown (not necessary though if you’re okay with hospital one)
-going home outfit
-flip flops for shower
-toiletries (body wash, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair brush, deo, chapstick)
-a towel (also not sure if necessary but we had space)
-I threw a few snacks in like bars just to give me an energy boost when needed and if hotel cafeteria is closed during the night
-chargers
-speaker for music

Baby:
-2-3 onesies (with hand cuffs)
-A hat
-A blanket
-Nail file (not always necessary)
-sound machine
-car seat of course!

We also threw blankets and pillows in the car since we had space but not necessary. All the postpartum stuff my hospital supplies but I think it depends on your hospital and if you’re picky about anything in particular like pads, disposable underwear etc

Bare minimum: long phone charger & a comfy outfit to go home in (I’m planning on a dress this time. My first one was a December baby so I did yoga pants and a pajama shirt)

I overpacked the first time and couldn’t tell you exactly what I brought.

This time I’m planning on bringing a couple outfits for baby, some comfy clothes for me, phone charger, nail kit (clippers, file), hair brush & and elastics, tooth brush and toothpaste, crocs, my breast pump, bottles & nipples (because the ones the hospital I go to provides suck), and my pumping spray.

Scheduled c-section

Evening everyone! I’m really considering a scheduled section
I don’t want any criticism, how ‘labour is natural’ etc.
I had an emergency c section in July 2021. My waters broke at 12am and 19 hours later they delivered my son, I know labour is hard, especially your first, but what I endured in them 19 hours was SO scary, I was having panic attacks in the birthing pool from the pain, NOTHING worked (codeine, g&a, pethidine) it was so scary, me and my baby got so poorly because it was left too long. It was genuinely such a traumatic birth, once I got that needle in my back ready for my section, it was the best thing ever
I know recovery is difficult, but I’d like to go in, have my baby and go home, as I have a second one at home, not being exhausted from labour
What is everyone’s experience? Especially for mums who have kids at home? Not gonna lie the only thing putting me off is the social pressure 🤣 thanks :)

Is it normal for pre-school applications to require your marriage license (only if you weren't married at the time your child was born or if you have different last names)?

This is my first time enrolling my child and it felt like a weird requirement but maybe that's normal? They will already be receiving their birth certificate that has both parents' signatures. A marriage license isn't requirement for parents who were married before birth or for parents with the same last name, that's the part that makes me feel odd about it.
