1st Birthday

FTM here. Would like to get my daughter something she can “keep” for her first birthday but I don’t want to spend a lot of money when she’s quite happy with a packet of wipes and a sock. She’s got cuddly toys coming out her ears and loads of toys she fiddles with like a tambourine etc so don’t want to spend more money on those things and we don’t have a fat lot of storage space at our house.

My parents are getting a trike for her which I think will be useful. Thought about a wooden dollhouse or a kitchen that she will grow into and have for a good few years. That’s a big purchase out the way and then can add to it for following birthdays/xmasses or ask people to get little bits for it. Just not sure if it’s worth it? What are other moms doing? Or what did your older kids find useful?

Our one big gift was going to be a standing water activity table because she's a real water baby, and I wanted something that could be for the outside and different. I was thinking of a kitchen but thought it could be more appropriate for a 2nd birthday, whereas she would use a water table now.

We have a kitchen for my older daughter and my 10month old loves opening and shutting the doors on it, pulling everything out. I think its a good buy for any age!

Water table also really good idea

My son’s first birthday he got a little outdoor climbing frame, like the plastic ones, with a swing and slide etc. and a trike. Both of them got loads of use that year, and he’s 3 now and still uses both
My girl is 1 in August and I’m really struggling with her because we already have everything we got for my first 😅 x
