Did your kid Stutter?

My son (2.5) started potty training a month ago. Sometime between may 22 and may 29 he developed a slight stutter. Over the last few weeks it has gotten worse. His vocabulary and communication has always been good (probably higher than average for his age). This came completely out of no where!

I’m kind of freaking out. Sometimes the stutter is pretty bad. It makes me so sad for him. I feel guilty that it could have been something I caused.

Any of you experienced something like this out of no where? Did it go away or stay? How long did it last?

Sterilising

Are we still sterilising our bottles? I know they say to sterilise until they’re off formula because of the bacteria and all that but I put formula in his porridge and don’t sterilise the bowl and he’s fine? So surely I can stop? 🤞🏼
It’s becoming a real ball-ache of a chore that I dread doing after he’s gone to bed!

What is a “pop”? Is it people’s gentle way of saying a smack?

Seen this used on here a few times this week saying they “pop” their child if they’ve done something wrong. Are we just trying to sugarcoat hitting here? I don’t think calling it a pop makes it any better🥴

How can I get my baby to nap in their bassinet?

My baby will only contact nap, and every time I try to put them down in their bassinet, they wake up almost instantly. Has anyone found gentle ways to help their baby nap independently, or is it just a waiting game? Would love to hear what worked for others!

2 Year Development Check

We just got our notification to make an appointment for the 2 year NHS check. I looked through the questionnaire online and my two year old seems to be fine for all the milestones. According to home measurements they are on 75th percentile for height, I always have a slight worry about weight as he's always been slim so I always get worried about that one but apparently will be fine if they stay around their weight percentile and though I haven't weighed them recently they have maintained a similar build. Has anyone else had contact about the 2 year check yet and any worries or advice?
